The Fosters "Don't Let Go" 1x19 Reaction (Steven)

Comments

I've watched a lot of reactors for tv shows. So, I'm mostly used to it by now. It's an unfortunate patter with any reactors-even the ones I enjoy. They seem to be fun, hilarious, energetic, etc. Then suddenly, they find a character they dislike, and suddenly they can't think straight in their criticisms. And this leads to all types of petty behavior that only grows with the backlash they get.

I understand Stef and I agree she should be included but the way she was coming at Mike was out of line

i mean i think he understands that they're teenagers and they make dumb decisions. Steven just has a very low tolerance for stupidity and nonsense especially for characters he doesn't like. He's an unfiltered person. i enjoy his reactions a lot but i do get where your coming from.

Exactly! It’s so ridiculous

I literally know noone is more than likely going to read this but I needed to vent lol

I'm a little confused, in the 2nd episode you agreed with Mike that they should include him on whether to or not to punish Brandon for what happened with Callie but in this episode you didn't agree with Stef wanting the exact same done with her? I've been trying to get a feel for you and these reactions but it just seems like a lot of contradictory statements to match whatever you're feeling at the time. I know you've stated you would have already quit the show by now if it wasn't for the patrons wanting it but it just feels so forced half of the time, and instead of thinking about why the certain characters are doing or acting a certain way you just take it at face value and judge. Like you bring up Callies lack of social emotional regulation and seem frustrated that she is like that. She has been picked and pulled from so many different homes, went through traumatic incidents like her mom's death and what happened with Liam, not to mention abuse, she is only 16 (Maybe 17 but I think 16 atp) and yeah she makes stupid decisions sometimes and doesn't have great regulation but it like makes sense. Brandon stuff doesn't make sense. Most everything else, makes sense. I know shows are meant for entertainment but with shows like these you need to think a little more if you want to better understand the characters. Sorry that was long I just have a lot of pent of frustration. Currently going through a hyperfixation with the Fosters reactions and that's why I joined this channel. I binged all of Brian's and I was hoping to enjoy these ones too but it's just hard when it feels like you're not even trying at this point to like or understand some characters. Which fair enough but if you're at that point, why not just stop?

Callie didn't even do anything bad this episode
