Good question! But yes, he has been gendered. When Kuma mentions him, he refers to him as "the man with the most brilliant mind in the world", referring to him specifically as a man, 男. For further evidence, he is also briefly voiced in Caesar's flashback and you can distinctly hear that he sounds like a man!

I think it's going to be relatively simple: this is the point where the fight really begins. I think something really cool about the Onigashima arc is that the fight against Kaido is something that has been going on the entire arc. After the intro portion and Kaido making his declaration, he's been attacked by the Scabbards and everything after has been a continued fight against Kaido. Other things have happened, the story has progressed, but this whole time Kaido has been fighting. So to put it in other words, I think that the arc will proceed, the Straw Hats will get their fights against the Flying Six and others, things will develop, we might have to avoid the threat of Onigashima crushing the capital, all while the battle with Kaido ensues. In the same way the whole second half of WCI was fighting against Katakuri, Onigashima will be Kaido's fight developing while Oda balances the other plotlines. And I will say, I think Oda has done an excellent job at juggling everything. There's some other arcs in the story where I think Oda doesn't pull off this whole juggling quite well (hell, I'd say Act 2 is a prime example of that, I felt everything there wasn't quite that properly balanced), but in Onigashima Oda's just been nailing it. As for how many chapters left, it's hard to say. I think less than what some people might assume, but I would guess between the end of this year and the start of next. That's a good 40 or more chapters in which Oda can wrap Onigashima and I don't really see this arc going anywhere past the 1050 mark.

Personally, I could never speculate on what was going to happen after Luffy arrives on the rooftop and faces the two yonko. What do you think is going to happen next? And while on that topic, how many chapters do you think will the rest of the war take?
