Karasu is definitely an interesting oddity among devil fruit users, but personally speaking, if there's one thing he isn't is a Zoan. Unless he's some really weird exception to the Zoan rules, he's definitely not a Zoan. Not only can he turn into a murder of crows rather than just one animal, but said crows don't even have features. In the manga at least, they are always depicted as masses of black, without any eyes, features, or anything to set them apart, meaning they aren't really normal animals. That just leaves either a Paramecia or a Logia. A Logia wouldn't be too farfetched if it wasn't for the fact that he's turning his element into a living being. But we've seen the likes of Enel, Akainu, and Aokiji do it before, (or even the likes of Magellan for Paramecia) so it's not unprecedented. Granted, those could just be attacks in the shape of an animal, but I think it's possible they could have the same properties as Karasu's fruit. In Return to the Reverie, I speculated that Karasu could be an awakened logia. While Paramecia seemingly tun their surroundings into their element and Zoan gained better physical abilities such as faster regeneration, Logia could perhaps make their elements come to life as actual creatures. Would explain why Karasu has the abilities of a logia to turn into an element but also allows his element to become alive and move on its own as extensions of his body. Maybe it's some weird Paramecia, but to me at least that's what makes the most sense.

Late question this month, sorry What do you think is Karasu´s devil fruit power? I almost forgot about him, but his abilities look really great.

Thank you!! I don't think Oda will abandon Mihawk's place in the story, so I don't think you should worry. Mihawk's main role is to serve as Zoro's final challenge, the final opponent he will have to surpass, so I have faith that Oda will commit to that. I personally believe there's a high chance we will ultimately get the final battle between Luffy and Shanks to prove that he's surpassed him, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the same with Zoro. But I don't know if that will happen in the middle of the final war, it all ultimately depends on how the final war is paced. I don't see Shanks/Mihawk interfering with this friendly duel when the fate of the world could potentially be in the way, so maybe it will happen after everything is over (but before Luffy becoming Pirate King, with Shanks as a last obstacle kinda like a true final boss or something), or in some different form. Regardless, I definitely think Oda will integrate him into the finale given his role as Zoro's goal.

Hey Artur thanks for a great year full of info and chapter breakdowns! Makes the one piece experience much better than it is! But question for you, what do you feel Mihawks role is going to be now that we’re nearing the end unfortunately, im kinda worried about him in the situation he’s in, i hope (and the percentage is small) that shanks will come to his aid if needed and maybe recruits him as an alliance against blackbeard lol but alas one can only dream, thanks for all the hard work!!
