I feel mostly the same way about Nolan but the hug was for Mark he needed that.

2025-06-20 14:04:46 +0000 UTCThe story of someone who has committed unforgivable acts and later finding a path to redemption is not unique to Omniman, and you shouldn't find it frustrating. Just because Nolan's actions cannot be forgiven or forgotten, does not mean he cannot have character development and learn to understand how wrong he was. We see this all the time in fiction. Darth Vader, the Grinch, Loki, Megamind, etc. These were all terrible people who did terrible things, but they are also some of the most iconic characters in fiction because of how interesting and deep their character development was. They weren't mindlessly evil, they were all broken people who were lost, deceived, seduced, lied to, neglected, etc. Things we as humans can all relate to. When people act accordingly to the terrible environment they're raised in, you cannot be surprised when they do terrible things. But that does not mean they are beyond saving. I'm not saying you have to like Nolan, and I'm not even saying he will redeem himself. You'll have to wait and see. But if you want to appreciate good writing and good storytelling, then you shouldn't just write him off. At least consider his perspective, and the context of his character, as you should with all antagonists.

2025-06-16 11:29:52 +0000 UTCAre you going to watch/react to the Atom Eve special? It's an hour long episode, basically Eve's origin story. For some reason on Prime they keep moving it to the end of the season list even though it came out between season 1 and 2. There's at least one thing referenced in season 2 that won't make sense if you haven't seen it and some stuff in season 3 that they sort of explain, but just kind of rush over and feels very jarring without the context of the special.

Omniman is a horrible person and is unforgivable and what he does here is irresponsible and manipulative. But at the end of the day, Mark is a hero and he will do good even if it means helping bad people.
