A few days ago I decided I needed to take some time and draw something for myself for once - and I decided to draw Meiko and Kaito in one of the most intimate, (non-sexually explicit) scenarios! To be honest, these two are a major comfort to me 😊.

I pushed myself to use more contrast between color values - such as the shine on Meiko’s top and the shadows her arms cast on KAITO’s shirt. Meiko’s shiny top is really enjoyable to draw. It’s simple, yet eye-catching and elegant. She’s recognizable and iconic (in my opinion) ❤️.

Fun fact: MEIKO is the only Cryptonloid to not have a headphone in her official design! She was the fourth Vocaloid ever created, and the very first Japanese Voicebank. 🎧
