2025-03-21 21:56:36 +0000 UTCCode switching is not mimicking lmao Edit: I agree with slime. What a dumbass question. Also Kendricks problem with Drake was that he was cosplaying, not code switching.

2025-03-13 19:12:53 +0000 UTCas a foot sitter & sister of a doctor who i just asked- the feeling of having to pee comes the weight of the liquid in your bladder pushing down on your muscles which sends a signal through your nerves to your brain that says i have to pee. Alleviating the weight and strain on your muscles by pushing back (like with your foot pushing on your groin) is a quick solution (not long term).

2025-03-12 16:09:16 +0000 UTCI have a friend who after joining the military would code switch black HARD when weād be in a discord call and heād be talking to other army guys in the background. But as far as I understand he was well liked in the army and nobody over there thought it was weird. Also heās insanely racist on top of that, which also didnāt seem to matter.

2025-03-11 22:35:12 +0000 UTCOne thought I had for the high functioning autistic guy, I understand wanting to be independent, I took a job at a ski resort that paid for my private room and food from the kitchen, it gave me the ability to learn to be independent without the full weight of all the bills it takes to live alone, thatās something I would definitely recommend as you start learning how to be independent

2025-03-11 20:24:33 +0000 UTCGuys can hold it but if they do for too long they can get a UTI and start pissing blood so don't hold your pee too much.

2025-03-11 16:57:29 +0000 UTCAs a POC⦠the code switching conversation made me very uncomfortable and you guys are unaware of the cultural implications of code switching in minority demographics. Not that itās inherently negative that you guys talked about it but damn bro you guyās are really off about the code switching opinions of the poc communities.

2025-03-11 07:00:55 +0000 UTCI'd like to offer some advice to the young individual with the very controlling mother. I'm 22 and I also have a pretty controlling mother(sounds like not to the same extent as you) and I've struggled with pretty severe ADHD for a long time. I know they're not the exact same, but they are similar and my mother's approach to handling me being different was pretty bad. It sounds to me, based on your question, that your mom likely has pretty strong OCD. Not like the "haha funny ocd keep my colored pencils organized xD" OCD, but that real shit that actually effects her life to an extreme. I wouldn't really recommend bringing that up to her because it's hard to say how someone who is that controlling will react, but maybe look into OCD and dealing with a family member who has it. That's what I did, and it helped me a lot getting through some of my harder years in college/high school. Your mom probably thinks she knows best, isn't willing to shift her mindset, and ultimately has good intentions with the wrong approach. I'm not 100% saying I'm right, I think the boys gave pretty damn good advice, but from personal experience it sounds like parent with OCD. That's a hard one to deal with and even harder for someone in your shoes. I hope I was at least a little helpful, and I wish you the best of luckā¤ļø

2025-03-11 04:19:12 +0000 UTCUhhh Iām pretty sure, men have prostate which is the muscle we use to hold it in. Whereas a women does not have one so thatās why itās way harder for them to hold it; they are lacking the muscle or whatever

2025-03-11 01:38:27 +0000 UTCI feel like I should mention that as a woman I have NEVER heard of the "sit on your foot" thing.
Ella Wagner
2025-03-11 01:24:14 +0000 UTC11:20 hi hello i'm a woman, this is purely anecdotal but in my experience we sit on our foot when we REALLY have to hold it in, clenching only works for so long. if that's not normal then that's news to me, it's kind of a last-resort type thing tho and it will probably give you a uti if you do it too much.

2025-03-11 00:13:47 +0000 UTCfor the second question, i feel that a caring and supportive parent would put in the time to teach you the things you are interested in being able to do independently. on the other hand, a controlling and overly protective parent wouldn't even try to teach you and brush it off as you being 'incompetent' or somehow unable. as a person you get joy from doing things yourself and accomplishing things, even as 'minor' as learning to do the laundry. a parent should aide you in achieving those things!
