The reason people that aren't normally good are better at rivals is bc the game is less reliant on aim and more reliant on timing abilities and knowledge of choke points and positioning of your character. Hit boxes are bigger then they seem so shittier players can still get some value. Especially since 3rd person changes the way you're supposed to aim.
