Coming into Bangtan Ink today you just wanted to distract yourself, maybe grab Guk and Tae for a cup of coffee at Moonlight. You spent the whole morning with your eyes glued to your computer screen as you tried to learn the basics of bartending and a few easy recipes you could be asked to make tonight, during your first shift in The Circle.
Lisa was going to train you for a little while, so you weren’t expected to know everything, but you also didn’t want to make a fool of yourself or be fired after your first night.
With the way business was slow, you guessed you could find a few of your friends lounging around, but what you didn’t expect was to find Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi, Sohee and Minsu all in the middle of the reception, in a comical secrecy circle, as if they were a football team and were discussing their next play.
“What's going on?” you asked as heads turned toward you when the annoying bell over the door rang, calling everyone’s attention to your arrival.
“You're not the only one with a secret lover, apparently.” Hoseok said, opening a spot in their weird meeting circle for you to join them.
“What are you walking about?” you giggled as you realized even Yoongi was part of this gossip session.
“We've been wondering if Guk has been hooking up with someone, and didn't tell us.” the oldest rapper said, trying to pretend he didn’t really care, but Jimin’s gossip prone personality must be rubbing off on him.
“Why would you think that?” your giggles faltered, heart racing for a whole different reason.
You tried not to show, but your stomach dropped. Why on earth would your friends think Guk was hooking up with someone? Could they be onto you? Were they about to connect the dots? But you had been so careful!
“He’s been acting sketchy. On his phone more than usual, zoning out as if he's thinking about something else.” your brother told you, and the fact he had noticed those changes, when you hadn’t, was alarming enough.
“Someone else.” Hobi added.
“He's writing love songs and shit.” Yoongi said.
“What–”
“For real.” Yoongi nodded, as if he had seen those lyrics with his very own cat eyes.
You were torn.
One the one hand, knowing Jeongguk was showing little changes like that, writing love songs that possibly, maybe, were inspired by you, made you absolutely swoon. But if the changes were enough to make his closest friends suspicious, you were definitely worried.
So you start hooking up with this mysterious dude you don’t want to tell anyone about, and at the same time Jeongguk starts behaving like an infatuated teen? It wouldn’t take long for the pieces of the puzzle to fit together.
Hoseok told you their theory: “We thought he met someone at The Warehouse because it started after that night.”
“Yeah, but he was with Yn all night.” Sohee pointed out and all eyes turned to you. Your palms grew clammy and your throat felt dry.
“He wasn't with me all night, we were just together for a bit.” you told the group, hating to lie but it was the safest way to steer the conversation away from you and Guk and what happened at the warehouse; your first kiss.
“Mmhm, we think it's this girl that's in the studio with him right now.” Minsu told you, and you choked.
Girl? In the studio? Right now? What the hell was going on?
Your stomach dropped and you frowned, eyes widening as your brows knitted together. Your heart started racing as you got filled with a whole new different kind of anxiety.
“Did you see how he blushed when she arrived?” Sohee gushed and your throat felt dry. People around you seemed to agree with little nods and hums. “She seems like his type too, cute and innocent. Both are very pretty, that's a power couple right there.”
“Are we sure it's her?” Hoseok, who was turning out to be more of a gossip than you expected, asked the girls.
“We've seen them together before.” Sohee explained and you had to school your face to try and not show how much that new piece of information bothered you. So Jeongguk was with an ex inside his studio?
“Oh my god, yeah, at the movies right?” Minsu turned to her friend, grabbing her by the arm as if she found the solution to world peace.
“They were in line for another movie, and Guk didn't see us, but we saw them.” Sohee told all of you with a nod, wincing from the pain in her arm.
“When was this?” Hoseok wanted to know, touching his chin.
For someone who had hidden his own relationship with Angel for so long, Hoseok was really invested in this. They all were. You understood why, too, as Guk was the baby of the group. Everyone at Bangtan Ink was really fond of him, and they were nosey as hell.
And if what Taehyung told you in the past was true, Jeongguk hadn’t really mentioned a hookup or a girlfriend in a really long time. Hell, he told you his last serious relationship had ended when he was still at school.
He couldn’t exactly tell everyone his newest ‘relationship’ was with you, so the group jumped on the fact that he had a girl with him right now. One he apparently blushed about, a girl that was cute and innocent and who seems like his type.
Thank god you were only studying drinks and not taste testing recipes or you’d be sick.
“Oh, it was a while ago.” Minsu answered, frowning.
“Then it doesn't match the timeline of The Warehouse.” Seokjin said, making you all turn around. You didn’t know how long he was behind all of you, listening to what you were talking about.
“Maybe they had fallen out and rekindled that night?” Minsu offered, opening the circle for Jin to join the gossip committee.
“And Taehyungie is just there third wheeling?” the eldest mused, having just walked past their studio before finding all of you. That made you feel a little better, knowing at least your best friend was still in the room.
“Shush, let him be there! He'll tell us what happened after.” Sohee hissed, so no one would try to take Tae away.
Work must really be slow at the tattoo shop, if all of the artists –well, except for two– had enough time to chit chat and exchange stories and conspiracy theories about each other’s relationship statuses. You could count your blessings that Park Jimin wasn’t around right now, that cunning man would most likely connect the dots you didn’t want anyone to find out about.
“Why are you here?” Namjoon asked as if he was just now noticing you didn’t work there anymore and had almost no reason to be at the shop.
“Damn, I can't visit my friends?” you told him with a squint.
“Thought you'd be with your boyfriend.” Hoseok teased and you rolled your eyes.
“I'll meet him later. I'm here for Tae.”
“Shit, so you really do have a boyfriend?” Minsu had a sparkle in her eyes and you could see the conversation coming back to you.
“Nop. I do not have a boyfriend.”
You were shaking your head as you took a couple steps back and away from their gossip circle. You wasted too much time there anyway, you had other worries to be anxious about.
When you walked down the hallway and into the tattoo studio Jeongguk and Taehyung shared, you really wished you hadn’t left home at all. You knew you had nothing to worry about because 1) you trusted Jeongguk wouldn’t do anything with the intent of hurting you. And 2) he wasn’t your boyfriend.
So you would much rather have stayed home, blissfully ignorant, knowing that if there was anything you should worry about, Jeongguk would tell you. Or at least Taehyung would.
At least you wouldn’t have seen Jennie unbuttoning her pants and pushing them down her legs.
“Oh, this is awkward.” the girl giggled sweetly as she saw you frozen at the door.
Jeongguk looked absolutely mortified, lips opening and closing as he did not expect you to walk in right now.
To his defense, he was sitting considerably far away from the girl, next to the tattoo stretcher his clients laid on during the sessions, with gloves on and a face mask over his mouth and nose. The stretcher was covered in plastic film and table paper, so you knew he was getting ready to work and not fuck her brains out.
The fact Taehyung was still in the room, sitting on his side of the studio, but watching the two of them intently, was also a dead giveaway.
“Hey–” Jeongguk made mention of talking to you, but Jennie interrupted him.
“I’m ready for you, Kookie! How do you want me?” she stepped in front of him, her back to you.
And you weren’t trying to check her out –you had eyes, and she was hot, but no–, but her underwear was tiny, barely covering anything of her ass at all. You worked at this same tattoo shop for a while, and not once did the live canvases show up wearing lingerie; no matter where their new tattoo placement was.
If the sickly sweet voice she was using with Jeongguk was meant to get a rise out of you, or try to seduce him, then you wouldn’t let her.
Instead, you walked to your best friend’s side of the studio and sat down on the chair next to his, pretending he was the reason you were there in the first place.
“Hey, Taetae.” you greeted the boy, despite your dry throat. “Do you have that thing we were going to do together?”
“That…Thing. Oh! Yes! The thing! The one we were going to…do together!” your best friend could win an Oscar most of the time, but god he could be slow sometimes.
You huffed and rolled your eyes, holding back the urge to face palm. Taehyung started to rummage through his messy drawers, looking for something for you to do while you watched whatever was about to happen across the room from you.
“What’s going on?” you asked your best friend in a hush, pretending to look at something really interesting on his turned off drawing tablet.
“She just showed up, demanding to see Guk.” Taehyung whispered as you both sent glances to the other side of the room, where Jeongguk was preparing the stencil of Jennie’s tattoo. “Didn’t have a schedule or anything, but he still took her in. I mean, he didn’t have any other clients right now anyway–”
“Did he ask you to take her from him? I mean, you have more experience, right?” you asked, regretting it as soon as it left your lips. Would it make a difference?
“I don’t think she would have accepted it anyways.” Taehyung shook his head. “Do you know her?”
“Mhm, that’s Jennie.”
“Oh? Oh.”
Taehyung had already heard that name before, you made sure to call him last night just to tell him about what happened at the party, and who you met. Well, you told him some things that happened at the party; like meeting the bartender girls, seeing Hatter again, finding out Jeongguk had an old hookup –that was now half naked in front of him– and that you split a pill.
You didn’t mention the fact that you were The Circle’s newest employee, nor the extracurricular activities you took part in in a stranger’s bedroom. Although you did tell him about the crash you had after the high, and how you cried yourself to sleep, alone in your bed.
You didn’t really know where Taehyung and Jeongguk stood at this point, as Tae was concerned and worried about his involvement with you now that you both knew of his double life, you would hate it for him to be mad at you too.
You were looking at Jennie and Guk as the girl practically bent over in front of him to lay down on the stretcher, on her stomach, with her ass up. Jeongguk’s eyes were downcast as he looked back at you, searching for yours, trying to tell you something with his dark, doe-like orbs. But you couldn’t return his gaze, staring at the table instead.
You still heard his sigh, and the rolling of the wheels of his stool as he got closer to the woman.
“Are you sure that’s the placement you want?” Jeongguk was asking her, sounding tired, but polite.
“Mhm, a little higher, maybe?” she said, and you could only picture where his hands were placing the stencil. “A little more… Yes! Do you think it will look cute there?”
“Sure.”
At his simple answer, you looked up. He was placing the stencil on the back of her left upper thigh, so high, in fact, that the back of his fingers were touching the curve of her ass cheek. And you felt like you were going to be sick.
“Dove.” Taehyung called you softly. “Wanna color tattoos?”
“Yeah, okay.”
You nodded, looking down again as you saw the few drawings and colorful markers he had placed in front of you. As you chose one of them to color, you heard as Jeongguk went over the process of the tattoo, soon being drowned out by the buzz of his tattoo gun.
You were telling yourself that it was the buzzing noise and the fact that there was a needle nearby that was making your palms sweat and your heart pick up its pace. There was no need for you to be jealous, he was just doing his job…
And then the moaning started.
High pitched, obnoxious moaning that was too erotic to be natural, to be coming from a place of pain.
“Just ignore it, she’s doing it on purpose.” Taehyung said by your side, quiet enough that neither of them would hear him over the moaning and the tattoo gun. “From all of the placements she could pick, that one isn’t the worst.”
“What am I even doing here?” you sighed. “Why am I sitting through this?”
You had to stop talking as the buzzing of the machine stopped short, so that Jennie and Jeongguk wouldn’t hear your quiet gossiping. But you really wish it didn’t stop as you heard the woman say:
“You must be happy that I'm finally letting you tattoo me!” she chirped and you couldn’t help but look up at them. “After all the times you drew on me with your cute henna kit.”
That's it. You were going to be sick.
You looked at your arm, only finding very light and barely there lines from when Jeongguk drew on your skin with temporary henna ink. It had been such a nice moment between the two of you, intimate and soft, back when you really didn't know where the two of you stood. It was a fond memory you kept going back to, kept remembering and still felt the same butterflies at the pit of your stomach.
Those butterflies were falling down, frozen to death, dropping one by one as you found out that apparently Jeongguk had done the same with Jennie. Many times.
Maybe that was his thing. Maybe he liked the thought of branding his hookups with his art, his traces.
“I’m just gonna go.” you told your best friend, who looked pained.
But Taehyung didn’t stop you, nor did he go after you. He knew you most likely needed your space and, knowing him, he’d make sure to be present until the very moment Jennie left. Even if all he could really give her was his icy stare.

JUNE 27TH | 17:31
This was uncalled for.
The way you were treating Guk right now, the cold shoulder. The avoiding his texts. As far as you knew, he hadn’t done anything wrong, not really. But you couldn’t help it. Your therapist always told you that your feelings were valid, even when they were uncalled for. That it was important to understand what you were feeling, and why you were feeling that way in order to decide then if there was something you needed to heal from and how to do it.
You had all of those tools within yourself, she always told you.
So you thought about it, laying in the middle of your bed, as you stared at the ceiling. Why were you so bothered by what you saw and heard today?
Did you feel threatened by Jennie? Possibly.
She wasn’t just a random girl hitting on Jeongguk. This was his ex. Even if they weren't serious, that's what she was. And according to your most recent findings, they went out on a date at least once, which was more than what you could say about the two of you.
Did you mistrust Guk? Unlikely.
The man had never given you a reason not to trust him, which was surprising given the fact that he had lied to you about a whole other side of his life, and he was currently lying to his best friends; about dating you and about his underground job.
But so were you. So you couldn’t exactly hold it against him when you were lying about the exact same things and hiding the exact same secret. Plus some.
Were you feeling so upset because you knew you couldn't trust Jennie? That seemed more than probable.
It didn’t feel like a coincidence at all that the girl had showed up to the tattoo shop, specifically looking for Guk, wanting to be tattooed by him, barely two days after meeting you, after learning that Jeongguk had met someone new.
And on the first day of your new job.
This was clearly a very immature and extreme way of marking her territory, of showing you she could still get close to Jeongguk if she wanted to. Jennie was taunting you, and you walked right into her trap. You didn't believe she expected you to come over and catch it as it happened, you didn't think she was a mastermind on pettiness.
Maybe her plan was to get to The Circle tonight, wincing and announcing her ass was sore because she was with Guk all afternoon. You felt really stupid as you realized you not only made her job easier, but you also made it harder on yourself.
One thing is to hear about her getting a tattoo from the man. Something else entirely was to watch it happen in real time.
Because try as you might, you still wouldn't imagine his face was so close to her ass as it had been, you wouldn't realize just how many times he'd have to wipe her ass cheek to continue drawing on her skin.
You definitely wouldn't think she was moaning like a cat in heat as it happened.
Was she doing that on purpose too? Trying not only to annoy you, but get a reaction out of Guk? Did he like it when she was loud in the past, did he ask her to let him hear her as he did to you?
The soft knock on the door made you jump.
Jeongguk was standing there, outside of your bedroom, sad eyes and frowning. “Hey.”
“Hey.” you replied, just as softly.
“Can we talk?”
“If you wanna.” there was no venom in your voice, no malice. You just shrugged and sat up higher against your headboard, hugging your knees to your chest.
Jeongguk walked carefully into the bedroom, sitting on the edge of your bed. It made sense he would sit so far away, you were thankful he was respecting your space. But every inch of your being was craving him closer.
“Tae said you were upset. Guess it's true.” he started. Maybe not in the best way.
“Why would I be upset? It's not like you had your ex's ass on your face for an hour.” you grumbled, looking down at your feet as you much rather watch the wiggle of your toes instead of his expressive eyes. “Not like you were touching her for that long either.”
“I wasn't– you know it wasn't like that, baby.” he insisted, and you knew that. Didn’t change the coldness at the pit of your stomach.
“Maybe. Doesn't matter.”
Jeongguk sighed and reached out a hand for you, resting it a few inches from you. He didn’t touch you, but it was there for you if you wanted it. “I didn't know she was coming. Jennie never said anything about wanting a tattoo. When she showed up, I panicked. I was scared she might say something about The Circle, something about us, so I just… Did what she asked.”
“Oh.” the explanation was simple, but it made sense. Jennie knew too much, you couldn't quite blame him for doing what she wanted when he was trying to protect your cover. It still hurt, but maybe he didn't have a choice after all.
“I guess her coming over had a positive side?” you shrugged as your own hand dragged over the bedsheets and the tip of your fingers brushed his.
“How so?”
“People seem to think you have a secret girlfriend, too.” you told him with a little hum.
“What–”
You nodded, dropping your knees down and scooting a little closer to Jeongguk. “Mhmm, apparently you've changed lately. Been happier. Secretive.”
“Oh, shit.”
“They think Jennie is the reason why.” you told him with a sarcastic laugh as you added: “It sucks for me, but hey. If we both have secret lovers at the same time, people might start suspecting. I think this is throwing them off a bit.”
“Why would they–”
“Minsu and Sohee saw you two at a movie theater once. You seemed intimate enough that they thought it was a date.” you explained with a sad little smile.
“Ah.”
It made you sad to think you couldn’t really go on dates like that, not without risking getting caught. And if you tried, you’d have to make sure you knew where all of your friends were, just to make sure you were somewhere far away enough. And still, there would always be that risk.
Guessing it was part of why you were so upset, being able to read you better than you expected, Jeongguk said:
“I’m sorry I didn't take you out on a date yet.”
Don't say it, don't say it. “It's not like you're my boyfriend anyway.”
Jeongguk sighed for what felt like the tenth time in the last twenty minutes, but this time he got up from your bed and walked to the door. You were positive you had just messed things up even more, annoyed him enough that he had to walk away from you.
But then he closed the door.
And locked it.
“What are you doing?” you breathed in a small gasp.
“Sounds like you don't think I belong to you.” Jeongguk said, walking back to the bed in decided steps. “About time I change that.”
“Guk, my brother–”
“Hyung isn’t home yet.” he told you while kneeling on the bed and holding your ankles. “And even if he was, there’s no way I’m letting you walk into The Circle tonight without knowing where we stand.”
Your heart was trying to leap out of your chest as he used the hold on your ankles to pull you down and closer to him. You squealed as your back hit the mattress, hair going everywhere with the sudden movement.
“Tell me no if you don’t want this.” Jeongguk’s body was on top of yours in a second, making you suck in a breath.
Of course you wanted this, you wanted him. But you studied his face, trying to find any traces of annoyance or that he was mad at you. All you found was a want that mirrored yours, a fear of losing each other before you even properly got each other.
“I want you.” you told him with a whisper, raising your upper body with an elbow against the bed so you could hold the back of his neck and kiss his lips.
You felt him smile against your mouth, dragging his lip ring slowly enough to make you want to squirm. You guessed he might know Jennie’s actions were out of spite when he warned you:
“No matter what you hear tonight,” his lips moved to your jaw, then your neck, pushing you back down to lay against your bed. “Just know that it’s you that I have on my lips.”
“Fuck, you–”
Jeongguk started kissing down your body, squeezing your breasts over your shirt, lifting the fabric just enough to kiss your stomach. Your back was arching off the mattress when his fingers found the button of your pants and he opened it without wasting any time.
You wiggled your hips to help him get rid of your bottoms, raising your legs and giggling at how desperately he threw your pants on the floor. Your underwear was next to go, surprising you when you caught a glance of the wet spot staining it.
“You’re so pretty.” instead of sounding like a broken record at this point, Jeongguk still made your heart leap in your chest and butterflies flap around in your tummy. “You’re pretty everywhere.”
“Stoooop.” you groaned, embarrassed, but didn’t hide away from him.
Jungkook pushed your knees apart and you let him, spreading your legs. He had that tiny smirk on his lips, cocky in a way that made you hold your breath. The man laid between your legs, flat on his stomach. You felt his warm breath ghosting your folds and that was enough to make you close your eyes and bite your bottom lip.
He started with kissing the inside of your thighs, teasing you with soft pecks that led him to where you wanted him. His eyes were on yours the whole time, daring you to look away but keeping you hypnotized when his lips parted and his tongue slipped out. And then he was bringing it to your pussy, parting your folds with the tip, and you couldn’t keep your eyes open anymore.
Your lips parted with a soft moan, legs twitching as you felt Jungkook drag his tongue up and down your middle, ignoring your clit on purpose, but getting close enough that it made you clench. His hands slipped under your thighs to pull you closer to his face.
He continued teasing you, using his lips and tongue to taste you, kiss you, everywhere but on your bundle of nerves. And it was good, but it wasn’t enough. And he knew it too, letting out a mean chuckle when you huffed and whined.
“Baby, please.” you complained, moving your hips once as if calling him closer.
“So impatient.” he mocked, but there was no bite.
You raised your body on your elbows, so you could look at him and maybe melt his heart with your puppy-eyes, but there was no need. As soon as you were looking at him again, Jungkook parted your folds with two of his fingers to reveal your clit better, bringing his lips closer and–
“Oh, fuck, that’s so nice–” you gasped as you felt the coldness from his lipring playing with your bundle of nerves.
And then those same, pouty lips, were wrapping around your clit and you were seeing stars. Your vision went blurry and your heart rate skyrocketed when his tongue swirled around your clit inside his mouth.
You were positive you cum just like this, from the rolling of his tongue on your sensitive clit, but of course Jungkook wasn’t done. Oh, no no. In fact, that was only the start of your descent to madness.
The man brought two of his tattooed fingers to your slit, converting them in your wetness before slowly pushing them into your fluttering hole. You felt the stretch, but it felt good and slippery. Jeongguk was gentle with the way he breached you with his digits, pushing them in and pulling them out in a slow dance that was making you moan out into the room.
“Yes!” you chanted when they were all in, filling you up and going deep.
Jungkook only hummed against your pussy, the vibrations making you tremble. One of your hands went into his long hair, tangling and holding on as if scared he might pull away now. But Jungkook was encouraged by the pulls, curving his fingers upwards and touching your walls to look for that sweet spot.
It didn’t take him long to find it, nor for him to start fingering you slowly, over and over again, scissoring his fingers open to stretch you wider. His lips pulled off from your clit with a dirty smack, but his tongue was back in less than a second to draw unintelligible figures against it.
“Faster, please.” you whimpered, thighs trembling and threatening to close. “Yes, like that, don’t stop–!”
Your hips had a mind of their own, rolling against Jeongguk’s face, pushing his fingers deeper and faster. It was a good thing that you were pretty sure you were still alone in the house, because you couldn’t keep quiet, not when he felt so good while fucking your pussy with quick pumps of his fingers.
“Shit, I’m gonna cum–” you whined harder, tugging at his hair to keep him there.
Jeongguk didn’t need the warning as he could tell by how tight your walls sucked his fingers in, on how your breath became choppy and your legs started to twitch. You couldn’t move your hips anymore, tensing as your lower stomach contracted. And then he was pushing you over the precipice with fast suckles on your clit as his fingers kept hitting your g-spot over and over again.
Your orgasm washed over you like a blissful tsunami, throwing you off balance and making you dizzy; thankful you were laying down. Jungkook slowed down his movements, bringing you back down to earth gently, making you land. Only when your moans became pained with oversensitivity did he stop.
Your hand dropped from his hair, but you searched for the back of his neck, guiding up and bringing him closer to your face. His lips were shiny and swollen when you looked at them, making you clench all over again, realizing his fingers were still buried inside you, but unmoving.
“Thank you.” you kissed his lips gently, lovingly.
“I’ll always make you cum on my lips.” Jengguk grinned, even when you kept kissing him. “You’re more than welcome.”
“I don’t mean that.” you shook your head, running your nails on the back of his scalp. “Thank you for reassuring me, for being kind to me, even if I didn’t deserve it.”
Jengguk shook his head to stop you from apologizing, nose bumping against yours. And then he said: “If it was the other way around, and I had seen what you saw, I would have reacted the same way.”
“Are you a jealous guy, Guk?” you couldn’t help but smile, blissed out. “I would like to see that.”
“Trust me, you probably don’t.”
