Added 2020-06-29 15:07:59 +0000 UTCWith the Market now complete, another feature that I've been very excited to work on is the Clan feature. This feature will allow users to start a new clan (for a hefty price!) and invite other users to join their clan based on their own set of requirements. For example, as the owner of a clan you could advertise your clan (in the Support Server) and set requirements for entry to the clan such that only users who have caught 100,000+ Pokemon are eligible to receive invites to your clan. Or, it could be a clan that you created for your own discord server to compete with the rest of the world without any restrictions to join.
Of course, creating a clan comes with some exclusive benefits! Besides the cool rank icons (the Gold & Diamond ones are animated!), reaching higher ranks will give clan owners the option to upgrade their rank for clan perks, which are perks that clan members that have contributed to the clan can purchase for their accounts. Once purchased, these perks are permanent, so it is definitely something that clans should strive to achieve. Some of these perks include: invisible amulet coin boosts, shiny rate boosts, catch rate boosts, golden day item boosts, & more (to be determined)! Besides the perks, there will be competitions (similar to the monthly contests) for clans to compete in, with prizes for the top 3 clans in the month.
As the feature is still a work in progress, I'd love to hear some suggestions on how Clans could be improved. Feel free to put your thoughts in the comments for this post as I will be reading through them all as I continue to work on the feature when I have time! I've been trying to get my friends into playing, but one of their main complaints is how expensive things are as relatively casual players. Having a clan (even just to share stats without the perks or benefits -- maybe that could be upgraded to later, if ever) that they could all join would be great, but none of us would come CLOSE to being able to pony up that 10mil. And I realize that means this feature is probably just Not For Us, but that added social aspect would be really nice, and I'm afraid that for some of them, seeing it but seeing it seem permanently out of reach with no lesser goal would just be the straw on the camel's back.

2020-06-29 19:20:01 +0000 UTCI really like this idea, I feel however that clan creation should be reduced to 5 mil because only one person is paying and for later spots all members pay. Also really interested in looking at the other buffs and this a good overall update as is in my opinion.
2020-06-29 19:12:10 +0000 UTCIt would be great to have daily clan quests, meant to be finished together like hunt 10k pokemons, maybe hunt 10 legendary pokemons and so on with similar rewards as we have for normal quests. If that is hard to implement maybe then just a reward for the clans treasury. xx Nejc

If clan members are online at the same time and catching at the same time, there could be a clan perk to increase catch rates, maybe introduce a clan wide "quick hands" type perk, maybe a percentage increase to coins per member online? Could also show which clan members are online by using a command?
