New video—over an hour of me answering your questions!

Hey everyone!

I put out a call for Q&A questions a few weeks back and you were all kind enough to oblige, so as promised here is the video where I answer said questions! We're talking the Armored Core video, video game music, longform videos, deviating from wider critical consensus, playing games more mindfully, and also why lions would be weak against, like, two Pokemon. Lots more too!

I really enjoyed doing this—I talk about it in the video but I've missed podcasting as an endeavour and this felt like a good way to fill that gap. I'll be doing this again in the future for sure.

Either way, I am so thankful to everyone who has supported the channel, either financially or simply by navigating your way over here to check out Q&A stuff like this. If you have joined as part of the free tier, you want the channel to keep going and get access to at least two hours of Patreon-exclusive videos, you can gain that access at any pledge level. Seriously, your pledges are what allow me to keep doing this and I cannot ever thank you all enough. You are the best.

Now back to work on the other videos!

Thanks again,

Hamish

Yo! Thanks so much for answering! Im excited for the ace combat video, as ace combat 4 and Zero were (and still are) favorites of mine. I got them as hand-me-downs from my dad who loved dogfighting games and flight sims. I got attached to the games cos the characters and the way the story was told was so engrossing to me, and finding another series that did that and did it good (armored core) was fuckin awesome. Also, the armored core video sounds like as much of a nightmare as i figured lol. So far ive gone thru ac1 and MoA on an emulator, and ive played thru 6, gosh idk how many times maybe 7 times now. Once i can afford it, im buying AC4:FA as a treat for myself and my ps3 ive brought out of storage :-) thanks again for answering my questions so sincerely and for the work you put into your videos! you, NoahCaldwellGervais, Jacob Geller, and Tim Rogers are my favorite video essayists right now! (even if tim hasnt uploaded in two years lol)
