Hey everyone!
Just letting you know that the new Patreon exclusive video is now available for you all! This is one I didn't even know if I was going to get to make—a review of Sony's latest big release, Rise of the Ronin. I got sent code for it about a month ago now, and on its surface, it's so Aggressively Fine that it doesn't warrant much scrutiny—I mean honestly, almost everyone has basically forgotten about it already.
That said, I've found myself dying to talk about it in some form, as I found the ways in which it dilutes its own identity to be as fascinating as they are disappointing. A game that is as needlessly complicated as it is simplistic, whose historical setting I haven't seen many people dig into. A game that didn't do a whole lot for me, but a review that was fun to put together.
Hopefully it's fun for you to watch as well! As usual, you will not be charged for this post, as the audio was a charged post last month.
(a reminder that I have an unlisted playlist of all the Patreon-exclusive vids up to this point, found here—please do not share it around!)
Next up—either Mad Max or Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth (a game I have... complicated feelings about, so we'll see). Got to get these Mad Max and Ace Combat vids off my plate so I can stop thinking about those games for the first time in about two years, haha.
As always, I cannot thank you enough for your continued support. It really allows me to keep going with the work I do on the channel, and I still love doing it. Hopefully you still get a kick out of it too. You are all the best.
Thanks again,
Hamish
