Aleron's lovely writing for this page(Dialogue in all caps cause I'm writing all the dialogue balloons in such, looks better with the font):

As much as he didn't want to move, the avali was ultimately forced to due to the firepower that was being directed at him, his hands pressing down on the ground as he slowly lowered his feet down to get the leverage required. Even if he tried to have it land as softly as possible, the giant winced as a shockwave still went out, flattening any number of buildings that were close to the initial impact. He could even feel buildings that were pressed up against him starting to give out from the slightest movements, even if he was trying to lift himself as straight up as possible, only further solidifying just how huge he was compared to the buildings he was initially surrounded by an hour or so ago.
