Can't wait to see the Cerberus shadow. I wonder who or what else will be added to Jinwoo's army. Maybe he'll be strong enough when the time comes to exchange one Iron for one Blades. I wonder, will you be doing anything with Esil Radiru? That could be interesting. Particularly if she gains the power of the Demon Monarch early.

I love Sung Jinwoo flexing on his enemies and farming aura as much as the next guy, but I wish there was some love for ANY of the other characters to be more than bystanders that can kind of fight sometimes and just hype Jinwoo up for the rest of it. And now that Jinho knows Jinwoo knows his cousin, maybe those two can have a more functional partnership than Jinwoo doing pretty much everything and Jinho just being the talker. Though I wonder if they'll form a guild like they did in canon now? Or maybe they'll try to unite/combine the other guilds into one massive guild that covers all of Korea.

Also I love this story because the SL side characters seamed interesting but we got no real time with them. It was all Jinwoo aura farming, don't get me wrong I love Jinwoo and his badassery, but other people can have cool moments and not detract from a story.

They searched up Yoo Jinho's personal information when they left the cave, even planning his funeral - because of them! Jinwoo did everyone a service by doing to them what someone should have done long ago, and I hope Dong-Suck's scumbag younger bro gets an even more brutal beat-down when he starts acting up.

Things were going so well with the party of 4 Players, up until a group of career-criminal dumbasses forced a good person like Jinwoo to show them how a true apex predator acts. Those guys were so dumb for wanting to kill (and they've definitely killed people like this more than once) 2 people for what I believe was a 15% cut of loot, and Jinwoo shouldn't think he did anything wrong when all he did was save others from a group of selfish, greedy, backstabbing murderers. Though now he's got 2 awesome Boss monster Shadows, and I hope he gets the Cerberus next. Poor Jinho was so confused and concerned by Jinwoo's actions. First because he seemed like a chill guy, but then becomes a bloodthirsty demon when in combat. At least Jinwoo set Jinho at ease a bit by talking to him instead of just ignoring him and letting him make assumptions. And love the characterization with Miho, and her interactions with others outside of her 'Player' group. If I saw someone needlessly sacrifice someone to get eaten alive by bugs, I wouldn't give them the chance to kill me either, so good on her for not letting a backstabbing murderer live. People tend to reveal their true nature when their life is in danger, and in that moment, you learn who and what a person really is.

As for Jinwoo, well, in the end, that's what happens. It can't be helped. There are good people in the world, but power tends to bring out the worst in people. And that's where the assholes come from. And if he hadn't put an end to them, who knows what they would have done to someone else? Who knows how many people they've already sacrificed? Sometimes you just have to say fuck it and get your hands dirty. I like the story and I look forward to more chapters. It's great.

2025-07-01 12:25:46 +0000 UTCExcellent chapter PV, loved how this Jinwoo seems to be getting a Vergil type of fighting style with how he deflected the bullets and sent them back. This allows jinwoo to still retain the speed he’s know for in canon while giving him better range and power in terms of weaponry. I can see him getting a skill that is basically the judgment cut and judgement cut end being it’s final form, just as fatal strike transitions into mutilation for his dagger skill setup. What with him not being an assassin type he would get a whole new skill set since he got fatal strike from being an assassin type and dagger user. Now there is one thing I noticed in this chapter that had me confused and that’s Jinwoo’s level. At the end of chapter 2 Jinwoo and the girls were level 25 as they were already level 20 when they fought Kasaka then leveled up five times from that fight putting them at 25. So I’m not sure if you forgot or it was a typo or you changed what level they were at by the end of chapter 2. Just was curious as I had reread the previous chapter to make sure I wasn’t misremembering or you went back to edit it. Either way I still enjoyed the chapter and can’t wait for the next one when it comes out, but I’m also looking forward to another chapter of TS as well so until then.

I also loved how you handled Jinwoo dealing with the aftermath of the Lizards. Seeing him not completely isolate himself is very much welcome. I also must say that I agree with some of the other readers who say that Joohee will probably be the one who has to kill Kang. Currently she’s the biggest "liability" of the foursome and I can see the System giving her an emergency quest for that. So, Kang is probably next chapter and the one after will probably feature the beginning of the Demon Castle. And from there it’s no more a small jump to the Job Change Quest. I'm really hyped for that one! Thank you for the update!

Are they eventually gonna tell their relatives/friends that they explicitly trust about the system at least to some extent? Like say that they have a residual link to the statues that they can basically sacrifice their enemies to to achieve greater strength over time so as to explain their increasing power and ability?
