Wanted to chat with you all regarding possible future stories. I've got various things in the pipeline at varying levels of planning, and one thing I wanted opinions on is content that makes Patreon
Which, honestly, puts me in a bit of a creative slump, cuz then I'm at a point where I want to write something, but Patreon won't allow it to be posted. And if I do post it, they'll do what they did to a friend and demand it taken down or risk the creator page being deleted. Really fucking grinds my gears, ngl.
I created this page with the goal of eventually being able to support myself off of it and write more and more. I'm sure you're all aware my time is pretty limited which is why it usually takes so fucking long to get something finished. Finding out about how fucking draconian this website is about some aspects of fantasy really pisses me off. According to their very own rules, if A Song of Ice and Fire had started on patreon, it would have had to be taken down. BULL. SHIT. My ASS they would have touched THAT cash cow.
So yeah, idk. What do you guys think? Would you MIND not getting early access on some content if its shit I'll end up having to delete to keep the damn page up? I've got stuff for Star Wars planned, I've had GoT ideas, shit, I had a shimaidon idea for DC with Starfire and Blackfire. But nooooooo, can't post that. Etc. Etc.
But yeah, just want to hear from you guys.

Just put notification of said post, with a summary, into a combined post with a title like "banned posts for the month". Allows you to have the creative freedom you want. Allows your readers to read what you're posting and works its way around. Patreon's stupid regulations and rules.

I’m fine with not getting early access to some of your stuff and just reading it the same time as everyone else on Ao3 and ff.net. Could always just continue to post the non rule breaking stuff here if you want to continue trying to build up to make a living off of it, and just post the GoT and Shimaidon and similar everywhere else at once.
