Would other supernatural beings like Youkai have the same or a similar reaction? Because anyone who sees what happens when they eat a Devil Fruit from Izuku might just think twice before doing so. Rias had a minute-long seizure for this, and I doubt her family will like hearing that. :( If Akeno is skilled enough to recreate Enel's abilities, then what about the others in Rias's Peerage? Because if they want DF powers that go with their skill-sets, I think giving Kiba Mr. I's Dice-Dice or Baby 5's Arms-Arms Fruit would work for him, and the Paw-Paw Fruit for Koneko, and she could combine that with her Sage Arts to become a Rook able to shatter defenses. Attacking an enemy's internal energy and using piercing shock waves would make her nearly unbeatable, and Kiba having permanent access to any weapon he's consumed will make him a walking armory. And Riser WILL be furious once the truth comes out...but I think Rias's parents, and her brother, will be pretty mad at her and Izuku as well... :(

Akeno will NOT be getting the Goro Goro. She's already a lightning queen. She could probably get skilled enough to just recreate the fruit with her magic. Not wasting it there. 2024-11-15 05:02:42 +0000 UTCAfter rereading, I think I might have a lead on Rias' fruit. It's a reasonably common thing for the fruits to taste like rotten, nasty versions of what they do. Rias likens it to rotten eggs and sour failed confectionaries, so I expect her to have the mochi mochi, maybe the biscuit biscuit fruit, or otherwise one of the fruits featured in the Whole Cake Island arc. Can't wait for the big reveal!

2024-11-14 11:21:32 +0000 UTCI just got onto Patreon, and this chapter alone was worth it. :) Izuku is already doing a good job of breaking down the main casts' insecurities caused by their past trauma, and has even boosted them mentally and emotionally by making them push past their limits, which will only benefit them later on. I truly love stories that go into the smaller scenes (comparative to big in-story canon events going on) to flesh out what the characters are thinking, like showing that even though Izuku is adapting to his new life, he still hates being unable to save everyone, like the Stray Devil he had to kill because he couldn't undo what had happened to her. The violent reaction from Rais, a pure-blooded Devil, eating a Devil Fruit is something I had suspected might happen, seeing as how Izuku - and anyone in One Piece - have never seen a literal Devil eat one, so he had no reference or knowledge that this would happen. Too bad there wasn't enough details to tell which fruit power Rias has now, though I suspect its either a Mythical Zoan or a top-tier Paramecia, since she would know the best ones to pick. Though is this 'seizure-inducing' reaction exclusive to pure-blooded Devils, or could it include Reincarnated Devil as well? I really love how the scene with Akeno and Izuku went after he stopped the Himejima clan members from killing her, and what he said, though (from what I can tell) mainly intended to make her feel better, was also what Akeno needed someone to explain to her, and this may help her break through the trauma of her mother's death. I'm pretty sure Izuku adapted Franky's talk with Robin about how "Existing is not a sin," but that's the kind of thing Akeno deserved to hear so she'd stop blaming herself for something that wasn't her fault. Not to mention how badly this may go for the Himejima Clan, since they violated an agreement with the Gremorys. I wouldn't wanna be there when that meeting happens, and it will after they pulled that stunt. Now I wonder if Izuku may give Akeno a Devil Fruit (I'm hoping its Enel's Goro-Goro no Mi), so then she'll be strong enough that she doesn't need someone else to save her, because she'll be able to save herself next time. And that spicy scene at the end. I absolutely loved it, but man, Izuku better hope this stays quiet, or else Venelana Gremory is going to show him just how scary she really is. Rias may want to turn Izuku into a Devil and marry him because she loves him, but he is still a human right now, and if this gets out, then I just know Riser Phenex will be furious, since he is too proud to let an insult like this slide.

The Himejima have been very kindly beaten. I never liked that they got away with it without further ado and without reactions of any kind. You know I can't help but want to see Riser's face when he sees Rias punch the shit in his face. I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to do. Will we get to see her use Haki? And what devil fruit should the others receive I wonder? Although I will tell you this, Koneko must receive Kuma's, can you imagine?

Glad that was the joke, I was thinking "Maybe I'm overthinking it" the whole time after posting xD Rereading the chapter, I just realize that there wasn't Grayfia clamjamming Rias to protect her virginity like in canon... so I'm guessing there were monitoring spells designed to alert someone (likely Grayfia and Venelana) if Rias was about to have some kind of sexual contact with a male. And I'm guessing that those spell "lose" it target after Rias assimilated the DF, since “(...)it’s rewriting her essence. Every cell in her body is changing.” Mmmmmm still expeculating, but considering that nobody jumped to the conclusion that Rias died, those hypothetical monitoring spells shouldn't recognize Rias as Rias anymore, not that she died or similar... that can have pretty interesting consequences... Hell, she could even argue that she's not the same Rias that was engaged to Riser *evil cackling*

Aika is a treat and I cackled when she said "our new boytoy" *cue soviet anthem* xD almost glad that Rias didn't get to hear that part or everyone there would have noted the jealousy~ Also, surprised that Izuku didn't explode with Akeno's comment (well, unless it was a thought and not a whisper and Aika reaction was due caughing Rias' reaction...) The car date was awesome and hope we get to see more segments like that in the future~ It was cute and wholesome without being saccharine. Plus gearhead!Izuku sounds like a fun concept xD The curse in the Devil Fruit is pretty interesting tbh, especially in light of the revelations in the last chapters of the manga. I didn't caught the 666 joke until I realize that Rias, Akeno and Lavinia would have need to dispell each one six spell at once... that's the joke, right? x'D Hmmmmm wasn't expecting Rias' reaction to the DF to be so drastic. Was going to joke that she ate the Ero Ero no Mi but nope xD hmmmm just manga canon ones, since the original anime didn't survive to Izuku's time, right? Golden Budha!Rias would be fun, especially for the reactions, but likely to get too much atention on them, not exactly good atention too. The Maki Maki no Mi (scroll) could be a good choice for an utter otaku like Rias xD and she could pass it out as a skill she learned because she's just an anime fan, but if it does exist in DxD using a DF for that would be a waste when she could learn the native method... (two hours reading the wiki and weighting the pros and cons of most of them...) Yeah, no, gonna trust your method and wait for the reveal xD Akeno's POV was good and really like how it shows some of the ripples caused by Izuku being part of their circle. El Thor is such a badass move!! And bet it's tempting just giving her the Goro Goro no Mi xD ...and damn, Izuku is raising enough flags to compete with the UN headquarters. Looking forwards to Rias' answer to this insult to her political authority !! The smut? The smut was great, it was gradual and sexy, not rushed or exagerated and more importantly, pretty in-character for both of them (Rias to her canon self pre-Issei-induced-insecurities and this AU Izuku's Mirko-induced-no-virgin status xD) the spanking was something I wasn't expecting but seems to fit pretty well~ (And I'm blaming Akeno for it :V) Glad to be a patreon and looking for the next chapter!!

Cause I could see him starting after Akeno’s attack considering if she’d had even bare basic Kenbunshoku she’d have likely noticed her extended family hiding. Granted even if he’d started teaching them right away she’d likely only be able to use it sporadically by this point given how long it’s stated to take to learn even the basics in canon OP but still.

Can’t wait for that 5th chapter, really hoping it’ll be the next one too. No complaints really except one little nitpick. It’s something a lot of writers get wrong but I don’t blame them for it. Ajuka and the rest of his fellow Satans are not by popular belief several thousands of years old. At minimum they’re a few hundred, at most maybe 1,000 years. It’s never stated how old they are but we can figure it out. If we consider what the first Sacred Gear was it would likely be True Longinus. It is considred the first, the strongest, and we know when it was created because it was the spear that killed Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago. Now we have a time frame for when the Great War happened. It had to have happened some point after the death of Jesus and several hundred years before modern day because we know that Draig and Albion had essentially ended the war because of their fight. The three factions banded together to defeat them and the two dragons were turned into sacred gears. The war ends and everyone goes to lick their wounds. We still don’t have exact time frames but I’d imagine that it would have been another several hundred years before the Devil civil war kicks off which is when Sirzechs and Ajuka come in the scene. There are widely regard as the ones who toppled the old regime and installed themselves as the new government. Sure they could be anywhere between 1500 and a few hundred years, but they’re still widely considered youngsters to the wider supernatural community. It’s a small nitpick but it always got on my nerves, that and how the whole fanfic community believes there was some big Nekoshou massacre because of Kuroka which just never happened. Still very much enjoyed the chapter man!

In regards to Akeno’s ambush, I really hope you show at least some of the repercussions for Her uncle and his faction. There’s no way in hell the Gremory or Sirzechs are gonna let this go. Hell they can’t, at least not without causing a huge amount of problems down the line if it’s felt they won’t punish those who attack those under their protection *in specific opposition to a deal they’d made with the Gremory*. Also I just want to see those fucking kinslaying bastards suffer, and Suzaku gain leadership. Also cause I love her even without getting to the parts of DxD she’s in yet. And I agree that Ajuka saying how difficult a problem is while casually solving it is hilarious, and the making the devil a (possible though I’m fairly sure it’s true) hereditary trait is absolutely inspired
