We need to talk about patreon and the future.

Yo!

I really felt like writing down my thoughts, so here it is.

Don't worry, it's nothing bad.

Actually, it's been super positive and encouraging for me to see so many people support what I'm doing.

Meme or Die was such a huge success too. I'm proud of all the polish I was able to do. Prompt or Die feels so much cleaner and much more alive compared to the initial release.

But I'm also a little intimidated, to be honest. I don't want to disappoint people who chose to give me money after all. So I've been thinking really hard about where to go from here, how to do things properly.

My conclusion is that the best thing I can do is create more cool content in VRChat. That should be my highest priority.

It's the reason why I haven't added that many new collars or explosion for supporters yet. Like yeah, I could go on full monetization, but that's honestly kinda boring.

I will still try and add more over time. Like custom claws and more ways to highlight yourself in the future. Definitely focus on more quality stuff instead.

But it won't be as high on the priority list for now!

Future

So what do I plan for this so called "cool content"?

Well, here are the things I've been working on recently:

Attack on Titan Commission

While not my project, it's still really cool. I've already done a ODM gear system for them.

And this time I'm doing NPC titans that can walk around and then pick up to eat you. Look forward to that if it's your thing! And if it isn't, then what it means for you is that I've been learning some new things that will make future worlds even better!

Fishing Game

The other project is an idea I had for quiet a while now.

I want to create a fishing game that doesn't suck.

It might sound boring, but I really think I can create something super fun for people who aren't even into fishing.

I've already done some mechanics for it, but it's still in a very early stage. I'll try to share more about it as time goes on. It will definitely be one of my bigger projects so I'll take my time with it.

Card/Count Game

This will be another smaller party game.

It might or might not involve drawing cards. But it will definitely involve explosions and death, similar to Prompt or Die.

Not much to share yet since I'm still figuring things out.

Fighting Game

The third project is something I'm super passionate about, but I don't think most people would find it as exciting as me.

I've been trying really hard to make a fighting game experience in VRChat work. Lag in VRChat can be pretty bad, but I've had decent success in mitigating it. But it's really difficult and time consuming project, so I've slowly stopped working on it again.

I might release something like a demo at some point to see what people think. If there is enough interest, I might continue it.

Aside from these, I still want to add more to Prompt or Die. I have at least one more mode in mind. And I have a crazy idea, that I might try in the future.

Oh, this is anothe thing that happened during the last month: I've taked over Omegle VR. I would love to improve it, but I don't have that many ideas for it tbh.

As you can see, I'm being a bit too ambitious. I'll try and cut down some things and focus only on the things that are important.
