March Retrospective

Hey everyone! I wanted to give you an update on what happened during the last month.

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to all the new patrons. Creating worlds can be challenging and time-consuming for little reward. But thanks to you, I can continue doing this for the next while. Thank you so much! Special shoutout to Cloaked Schemer for setting it all into motion.

Anyway, here are the topics:

Omegle VR

Last month we released Omegle VR and have been working hard on improving it.

One of the biggest changes was a complete rewrite of how player connections work. Since then, I haven't seen any complaints about stability. Even when we push an update, instances don't completely break anymore! Connections are rather seamless and bad actors can't mess up the whole instance anymore. Super happy with that.

We have also been implementing rewards for people supporting us in the form of borders around the camera. There were a few annoyances with them at the beginning, but I'm pretty satisfied with the end result now.

Aside from that, we also have been steadily fixing bugs and slowly adding quality of life features.

Attack on Titan System

In addition to that, I worked on an Attack On Titan-like movement system for someone else.

The Future

Moving forward, we plan to update Omegle VR with some more quality of life features and better pickups. In the future, we want to add even more pickpus, but we are unsure how many we can run before running into trouble. We will increase that over time and see how that goes.

We will also be working on a new project, similar to the Would You Rather world. I personally really want to focus on player feedback this time around. That mean we will hold some playtests in the second part of this month. So look forward to it.
