Anniversary Avocado🥑

Well folks, it's officially been 3 Years since we brought Strange New Bodies to Patreon!

In October 2020 we launched with nothing more than a keyboard, an expired bag pretzles, and a dream... Since then, we've learned a lot of what we could do, and what we couldn't do - without you. 

Our original monthly schedule kept us chomping away at the mound of work. But while we enjoyed watching SNB grow month after month, we saw the projects goals
grow bigger and bigger too. Which is great in theory, but with so much work on our plate already, and more steaming heaps coming out of the oven, we had to make the decision to slow down our pace and return to the main course. (I hope you're as hungry as me now.)🤤

The last few months have seen a stall in development as members of the team have moved apartments, gone through new jobs, and a ton of other changes of the big life sort. So after a lot of considerations, we decided now was the right time to transition to a new mode. 

Starting with a Patreon Hiatus.🤯

Its all good though, as we always intended something like this, and plan to continue development on Strange New Bodies. There will be continued updates and more focus on Community Engagement. The only real change we're making at this time is the decision to Pause Monthly Charging.

We made this decision for a few reasons:

FIRSTLY - The original purpose of the Patreon Page was to raise the necessary funds to pay artists making assets for the game - which we did! HOORAY!🎉

SECONDLY - Monthly payments are super useful in encouraging us to make monthly updates. While its worked pretty well, we now need to ease up on the gas so we can take the time needed and plan our next big steps. 🎢

THIRDLY- We would feel super lame for charging our supporters for upcoming months that will likely lack updates as we recalibrate our process.🔨

While this pause relates to charging patrons, all patron posts, links and messages will still be accessible. 

We intend to reinstate this page when the time is right, but for now, we'll be turning our focus toward strengthening our community connections via the SNB Discord server.🐱‍👤

All that said, don't be surprised if you see posts and patches come down the pipe in the next few months. We've been working on the underlying game structure to make writing and coding easier and efficient. So hopefully you'll be hearing even more from us moving forward.

There's a lot more we can say, but for now we'd like to thank our fans and supporters who got us here. You guys are awesome and we hope you stick around to see where we head to next!🌠🌌
