August Technical Patch (Beta release!)

Hello everyone!

This month's patch is a rather strange one, as we have no active content to release for the current beta. Fear not, it's all for a good cause!

The major push this month was on finishing the initial code for our combat system - version 1.0 is now complete! This is huge news for us as it means that we're done with adding new systems!

That doesn't mean that you won't see huge improvements in your gameplay experience going forward. Rather, it means that devs that were previously focused on creating systems will now shift focus to making content for quests! We're also going to start implementing what we've developed over this past half-year so expect a lot of revisions to previous quests to include combat, items, and robust skill checks

It's also worth keeping in mind that 'complete' in this case doesn't mean we won't add new features. Combat, for example, will be getting updates later to add items and skills. We're also still rolling out minigames (a huge amount of coding has gone into this!) and we'll be making death useful and interesting in the game!

Lastly, but not leastly, there's a whole bunch of quest content that's in the process of being made that didn't quite make this month's deadline. You can expect to see it in the next patch!
