Hello, all! Here's another video that never made its way to Patreon. I've always felt like Re:Zero is an interesting anime, and one of the things that makes it so unique is the way its protagonist interacts with the world and becomes a better person. So many isekai are built on power fantasies, where men who have nothing going on in the "real world" are given the chance to be a hero and get the girl(s). Re:Zero very deliberately subverts that idea by making its protagonist a loser in the fantasy world, too. But instead of remaining a loser, Subaru is able to learn from the positive role models around him and become a legitimately heroic character. I assume. I haven't seen the second and third seasons.
