Paul vs David at the bank

At bank auctions... players can bid and then buy both Paul and David.
Buying one does not prevent you from buying the other.
Of course, the only limitation is that if you bid on one, you cannot bid on the other in the same auction... but other than that, there are no other limitations.
But for some reason, several players have reported that they are unable to buy both. If they buy one, they cannot buy the other. 😕
But I can't replicate this error here, because when I simulate a new game and test it, everything works fine and I can have both as new targets.
So I'm going to open this post for players to share their experience and tell how it went with it. Whether it worked or not.
❌ If it didn't work... I would really like you to tell me step by step... which one you bought first, how far you got in the story of one, and when you realized you couldn't advance in the story of the other.
To see if I can find out when this is happening so I can fix it.

However, when I try to see the auction, David was not available even for bidding, it is as if the route that will open for David was already closed after buying Paul. Then I decided to sell one of my slaves, thinking that it would work if I let him get the place for David, but it did not work. So I am at a lost right now, because I really want to buy David for myself.
