Even though we didn't get the one I was pushing for I still will enjoy having more tbate art. And this also let us talk with turtle some so that was awesome too! 2022-12-09 23:10:55 +0000 UTCCosts vary from usually at least 1-2k for some of the "simpler" pieces to more than 5k to some of the larger pieces since a lot, if not all, of the characters that I have illustrations made for have no previous pictures so they're "concept arts" which means a lot of back and forth between me and the artist so that they are able to get what I imagined perfectly! Cost is definitely an important factor but it's also the time it takes to make one, since I need to directly be in back and forth contact for the characters to turn out how I want them, and it's also the availability of the artists that I want to use! I've been making it a point to put out more commissions but it's currently not possible to be doing multiple at once or do it as quickly as some of you may hope. Hopefully that answers some of your questions~

As cool as destruction is its just another art fight that last 2 chapters with characters we never see again. The scythes and retainers drove the plot and were the main antagonistic force for the entire story up until recently.

Art for new and unvisualised characters are needed more than the same ones. I like the idea of the scythes/retainer line up as well as being able to see the school kids. Seems like we’ll be getting Arthur using destruction tho, which isn’t bad but eh

Every vote counts, make sure your vote is heard and worth the most bang for its buck! The choice is yours at the end of the day, but I highly encourage all of you to go for Scythes and Retainers! Imagine being able to see the best of the best like Cadell, Nico, Viessa, Dragoth, Melzri, Seris (again), and all the retainers at the time in the purest and most canon of forms! There's no downside to voting for them at the end of the day, cool destruction scenes happen all the time, but all those characters being together is something truly unique we'll never get again.

(Hopefully we can ask turtle to have them throw Seth and mayla in the background stands as well or something). If not, their sacrifice will not be in vain.

At the point we get another (probably like a year) the victoriad will be so long ago no one would ever vote for it. Probably have some new cool scene of like sylvie's return or something. So I feel like this is legitimately the last chance we have for this

All the Patreon subscribers can vote on what moments we want to have in the collection. I am more than willing to pay additional to make this happen

There's so much to get from this that I don't see why we wouldn't go for it. These characters filled most of the story while the wraiths filled all of 2 chapters. The scythes and retainers had a larger story impact and deserve to be respected with official art at the very least.

The scythes and retainers we may never be able to see again, this is probably the last chance for us to see the most major figures for a majority of the novel at the same time. We need to do this.
