What should I title TBATE: Volume 8?

When i think about what Caera said how Art is at night that he is suffering. Its a bit like he would be dead. So Requiem is good too. And im sure that Art will become God (more or less) and then would Ascension also be really good.

Where exactly does volume 8 begin? That would drastically affect what people would like for the name, I think. Not sure everyone knows the location. If volume 8 starts at the relictomb after being transported, than sure, ascension is great. But if it includes the war before that, then requiem would probably be better. My previous comment on memento mori had the latter in mind, but that's the thoughts of a reader and not the author. I'd rather go with requiem if the latter is true.

Ascension has multiple meanings. One being Grey's ascension of his body and new opportunities for his abilities. The other as ascending through the Relictombs and them being related to Alacrya which is pretty much what the whole volume revolves around

Memento Mori could sum everything up as one, even in the newer chapters, to some extent. But I digress, Ascension may be the best overall.

I think requiem, cause of its 2 different meanings tie into the book—the Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead, for the people who were massacred in the war who never had the chance to win, only the illusion of hope. The other meaning is the act or token of remembrance—Arthur has lost Sylvie and his friends and his strongest motivation is the memory of Sylvie as he wants her back and his friends and family to be safe.

I feel like ascension fits better due to how arthur evolves his understanding and power. Requiem might be fitting for the next arc if it involves arthur's reintroduction to the conflict between the two nations. Unless it involves the newest chapters that I can't read yet and has to do with laying the souls of the ancient mages/the djinn to rest.

Out of these I would choose Ascension. However I feel it is too strong a word. Sounds very godly.

Ascension feels the most appropriate. He spends the entire book as an ascender (or preparing to be one) in the Relictombs.

The moment the notification header pops up which only shows “what should i title TBATE:Volume 8”, first thing came in mind was Ascension. Not only because of relitombs but also refers to arthur ascending from the realm of mortals/lessers ✊🏼 Edit: Forgive this mortal me, turtle sama for crossing the line, but i think vol 9 should be cataclysm! As sudden upheaval or violent change in the playing field. Im thinking things wont just be indrath vs agrona but will be a 3-way war with arthur creating another team ❤️

I definitely like Ascension, but thought that Reconstruction could be cool as well.

In terms of just definitions, Ascension makes more sense. Requiem, while sounding better imo, doesn't fit quite as well.

I believe Ascension due to Arther's new asuran body and ability over aether. He is getting closer to what you call a "deity." Sure he started from square one, but he is quickly getting stronger with these trials.

I personally think requiem because there's been a lot of death and reset in this volume so requiem seems fitting because he kind of has to work to be back to where he has and to get further to achieve what he wants. He had to forget his old ways to become better.
