February Update + "Window Wraith"

hello little birds!!  how have you all been?  well, I hope!  it's been some time since i gave you all something, so here's a little game i threw together.  i had originally intended it to be a submission for FLATGAME Annual 2016, a truly lovely little game jam hosted by Llaura Dreamfeel and Breogán Hackett.  unfortunately i ended up losing confidence in the project and not finishing it in time for the deadline, so i sort of abandoned it for a few weeks.  ultimately though, there was just enough there that it felt like something worth salvaging, and here we are!

as gameplay goes, this is as minimal as it gets-- there's nothing to interact with and no ending, it's simply a world to explore.  hear what all the grackles have to say, peer through the windows of houses that have no doors, Alt+F4 when you're tired of being a ghost.  i hope you enjoy it!

in other news, i've more or less settled on what my next Big Release is going to be, and work has officially begun.  i want to get some show-worthy progress under my belt before i announce anything, but it's something i'm very excited about, and those of you who have known me for a long time (specifically, since my pre-Unity Twine days) might be pleasantly surprised!

speaking of Twine, i've also been throwing around an idea for an ongoing interactive fiction project that will involve a series of rough, short, surreal Twine games released once a week for roughly a month and a half.  i'm still working out if it's something i can squeeze in without stressing myself out tremendously, but if I end up going for it, it'll be available to Patrons of ALL tiers.  so look forward to that maybe, possibly!

finally, I wanted to tell you all how utterly floored i was by the outpouring of generosity for the ACLU Bundle.  the final donation ended up amounting to a jaw-dropping $3074.32.  in TEN DAYS, little birds.  you all never cease to amaze me and i will never be able to thank you enough.  if you talked someone you know into purchasing the bundle, please give them my heartfelt thanks as well.  you're all incredible and don't ever forget it <3
