Added 2025-07-18 11:51:00 +0000 UTCA new demo version has been uploaded to the usual location on Itch. Lot's of good changes including ladders, new animation and pushing! Details below:
0.15 Demo Change List
Various improvements have been made to Keiko's Push action
Pushing the truck should now consistently & correctly push the truck
New Push animations for Keiko to help add to the weight of the action
New audios for Push action to further help add to the weight of the action
Push now has a cool anime particle effect on impact
"No Reverse Gear" Attribute on Transmission now provides a bonus of -20% to transmission weight
Pushing fixes should now mean the "No Reverse Gear" attribute is less punishing, though removal of the attribute is still being considered
New Crouch animations for Idle, Push, Strafe and Walk
New Prone animations for Idle, Push, Strafe and Crawl
New standing animations for Idle, Walking, Running, Push
New Keiko pose for the character customisation screen
Fixed Air Filter condition scaling Air Purity attribute incorrectly
Added a "+" to Air Purity attribute for Air Filters to show that it's an additive value
Fixed pot hole mesh issue for Inaka_Straight_08 and Inaka_Straight_08_B Tiles
Tyres will now become flat when the operation breakpoint is passed
Fixed tape not being removed from flat tyres
Flat tyres now reduce grip by 40%
Can now use the Push action on physics objects
Can now push cargo placed in the cabin and trailer of the truck
Front End change, "No Reverse Gear" Now only generates on Hard and Wildcard trucks
Front End change, "Manual Transmission" Now only generates on Medium, Hard and Wildcard trucks
Fixed emergency phone locations on Inaka_Curved_07, Inaka_Curved_06, Inaka_Curved_05
Fixed issue with emergency phones not returning player home and causing a soft lock
Fixed phone cable not showing when picking up the receiver
Job items can no longer be sold to Auto Shops
Tyre "popping" now unbalance the truck (with increased effect at higher speeds)
New tyre wear system
Tyre wear is called 4 times a second
Base tyre wear rate is calculated by 0.0001f * _speed; (called 4 times per second)
Skidding multiplies the rate of wear
Tyre wear is then doubled if the tyre type does not match the terrain it's designed for
Work to continue here when different weather condition and terrain condition tyres are added
Tyre pressure changes now affect fuel consumption and turning speed
Lower tyre pressure will increase fuel consumption up to 50% more
Lower tyre pressure will decrease turning angle up to 50% less
Road condition of the town should now save correctly
Fixed Pot Holes continuously damaging wheel
Fixed issue with fuel tanks built into engines not referring to engine condition, causing leaking when condition was full
Adjusted foliage around Kusahiro trucks to aid visibility
Fixed air filters spawned on 547cc E05A I3 not being secured
Fixed soft-lock caused by trying to start a cable-start engine on a Kusahiro
New overheating effect for engines
Fixed wheels stored on the truck vanishing
The Daizo GX390 engine texture now correctly displays GX390 rather than GX120
Fixed petrol station fuel visual numbers not resetting after purchase
Fixed issue where truck bed couldn't be placed if the vehicle was missing fuel tanks
Fixed issue where heavily rusted and damaged components wouldn't stop leaking if tape was applied to them
Added tool tip "Condition Too Low (5%)" when trying to tape a component that is equal to or below 5% condition
Added tool tip "Already Taped" when trying to apply tape to a component with tape already applied
Also fixes an issue of wasting tape when reapplying
Fixed reference issue when removing tyres that may have lead to more serious issues
Fixed issue with cargo area check being too large causing it to grab installed wheels
Fixed issue where suspensions would pop out when trying to install them
Fixed radiator not having pick up, place and impact audios
Fixed water bottles not having pick up and place audios
Transition to crouch when using car jack should now be immediate
Lighting at dusk and dawn should now be much better (Trees shouldn't appear black)
Fixed issue with spanner UI remaining on screen after closing the tool bag without picking up a spanner
Fixed the large spanner outline not disabling when mousing over another spanner in the tool bag
Fixed Wheels not converting radius to diameter correctly, affecting their shown size in inches on the UI
Fixed a collider reference call for cab protector's on truck beds when dropped by the player
Material description texts replaced with "Component is made from..." rather than "Material is made from..."
Fixed being able to disassemble loose engines outside of the truck after loading in
Can now climb the ladder in the garage pit
Nice little update to tide you all over while I work on the next thing. Speaking of...
