It works!

I just finished assembly on the Camshaft Angle Sensor and to be honest I've never felt more proud of something I've made. Aluminum and steel construction? With moving parts and electronics?? And I made it??? CRAZY

Now you may ask, "did you actually 'make' it if technically 100% of the manufacturing was outsourced?" And that's a good question but hey maybe we don't answer it.

One month it was in my brain. Next it was in the real world with a plastic prototype. Now it's done and actually working.

I stuck the end of it in an electric drill, spun 'er up, and the computer was reading the data perfectly!

This was the last really big hurdle for converting the 280Z to run on an aftermarket standalone computer, so it shouldn't be long before the engine is back in the car!!

It works! It works! It works! It works! It works!

Fully desinging something, having it produced at a partner you trust and doing quality control yourself definitely counts as making it! Just the fact you don't have a specific expensive machine doesn't make it no longer your creation :D

Denso, Bosch, Magna, Ronald Finger This is awesome! I love the type of custom work you put into these projects. This is certainly something to be proud of!
