One of my favourite songs since I first heard it I believe in Mike Nichols' Graduate.

I always found this song a bit disturbing in its stark contrast between the romantic words and melody on the one hand and what the words say on the other. Basically you ask someone who is going to the Scarborough fair to say hello to your ex and and tell her in very romantic sounding words that to get together with you again she would have to do a number of tasks that are impossible. I still like the song, though.

By way of background: Scarborough is a real place, a coastal town in Yorkshire in the North of England. The Fair was also a real event - a merchants' gathering attracting traders from all over Europe during the Middle Ages. So now you know!ππ

I know I'm biased, but this is the best version of Scarborough Fair I've ever heared!!!
You've returned with a song that brings a smile and brightened the dreariest of days.
Thank you so much, Alina! π¦β€οΈ
