Brutalist Diluted Fuel Power Plant. Early Access Blueprint Pack.

Pack include 5x5 core blueprint that produce 750 MW. Stackable 12 times in 4-way symmetry (3x4). There are extra foundation and top blueprints. Top prints have 3 versions. 2 similar versions (5x5 and 6x6) for resin sink + packaged fuel cloud upload + power generator when cloud/buffer is full. 1 version (6x6) for conversion of 30 leftover oil into 1GW with resin sink.

Full building require 300 crude oil and 4x180 water for main prints + 10 or 80 water for top prints. End result is 9 or 10GW of power. There are also backup batteries in power generator prints.

1 pipe of water for every vertical shaft.

Yakez

So, if I understand correctly, water pipe should go all around and be connected to every vertical shaft, 1 pipe per floor of B? Thanks a lot for your answer.

iFlu

Oil is omni directional. It is designed around 300 oil total. So you can get oil from one side with pumps and push it through to 3 other sides from the top. Oil have ability to be interconnected both down below in Print A and in Print C. Water however is designed in different manner. Every of 4 stack sides do need its own pipe full of water. Only top print have 4 interconnected inputs, so you can get that tiny bit of extra water for top print from any direction.

Yakez

I feel really dumb not really understanding how to connect everything... I started with a single floor (4 * BP B) + C 6x6 v1. Managed to align everything but now, connection time, and I scratch my head like a chimp while rewatching the video on and on and still not getting it 😅. Manifold is quite obvious no problem with that, but the water and oil omni-directional input, that's where you lost me. Could you explain a bit more, please?

iFlu

Just following up to let you know it was the extra water. Thanks for helping me fix it!

Eli

Oh I think that last part is what I was missing. Thank you for that- I'll add more water later today!

Eli

Hey, Check out the highest pump in the setup. It its headlit exceeds maximum 52m then you need another pump. If it is below, then you just do not have enough water in the pipes. Remember that top print do require extra 10 or 80 water depending on a variant. Just having 4x180 water is not enough, one pipe should have more.

Yakez

Hi there! It seems like the water isn't making it up to the plastic refinery for me. It looks like a little bit of water makes it to the pipes that connect to the top module, but it always seems to drain back out.

Eli

Hey, nice to see people using my prints! xD Already knew about the issue, but was out of town on the weekend. Have fixed the blueprint and reuploaded the archive.

Yakez

Absolutely loving this blueprint and just built 2. One callout with blueprint C 6x6: There's no pipe connecting the heavy oil residue refinery to the diluted packaged fuel refinery. I found it while troubleshooting why the tower was making slightly less power than anticipated. I added the pipe and it's 9GW per tower as expected.

Tim McDonnell

It workes now

Richard Hameete

just checked in the game, pipe connection mode is auto 2d. not noodle.

Yakez

Allright, thank you.. I'm going for a third run at it :-)

Richard Hameete

Since base/foundation is smaller than middle prints it require use of the nudge tool to bring it into the place. I tried to make collision box similar to 5x5, but I guess it is still not enough. Regarding pipes. Only way to connect them is in the "noodle" mode togglable with key R. Other ways/modes will not snap. Also bottom oil 4-way connection is optional. You really only need to take one full pipe to the top and interconnect all 4 oil sides/pipes on the top. Those underneath connections are only beneficial when you have pipe incoming from weird direction to pass it through underneath.

Hi there, I'm really loving this design and I am building it right now. But I have a quetion about the A blueprint. I can't get the bases aligned. I really do not know what I'm doing wrong. When I place them right next to eachother in the 2 x 2 layout, the inputs for the oil are not interconectable in the middle section. Then I nudge with the A-bases, they are interconnectable, but then I get problems that pieces are going thru the walls and it loos weird. I can't find an explanation how to build this one correctly or I'm just not looking in the right place. Hope you can help me understand what I'm doing wrong here.

Richard Hameete

Correct. Blueprints does not check anything aside build cost when built. Neither size, tech or alts.

Yakez

Just for my understanding...if you use a blueprint like this...and you haven't unlocked Somersloop output augmentation yet, or anyone of the recipes used in the blueprint...it will all still work? Just considering something like this for a creative mode playthrough.
