For Patreon I included the whole unedited clip of the game portion this time, not sure if that's something you'd be into but I figured it was worth trying out. (It's also why this week's post is so late--sorry about that.

This was a weird video. You can kind of tell from the way it starts that it started off as a Delayed Input idea that I could just never really find the right angle on. I figured it could make for some good in-betweener material, since some of my favorites were the edited-down playthroughs. My takeaway from both of those, Little Nemo and that zombie game, was that I wished the videos were shorter and had more of a central hook.
This one is shorter and has this set-up where I might throw it away if it's bad, but I think it might ultimately be a less exciting video because there isn't as much to see in the game itself. All the levels look the same and it's kind of hard to follow in short clips. So I'm not sure about it, it's hard to call this one a success.
And as always, our motto here is The Views Don't Matter, but I can't help but notice it's sitting at around half of what a regular video gets. I thought this thumbnail was a nice standalone image, but at this point I have to accept we're going to take a hit if my dumb face featured somewhere. Also I'm not sure this matters at all, but I was so scared of WB striking the video that I didn't monetize this one. Ultimately, as always, we're just trying things out. On to the next one
QUESTIONS FROM YOU!
Watching it unlocked ancient memories of playing Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout. You ever get into that one, Kyle?
No, but I remember the cover well. It still pops.
Is it weird playing a game for the Delayed Input audience in comparison to the live stream audience? Do you feel you have to approach it very differently or is it more a matter of having an imaginary Chat?
There are lots of moments in the unedited clip where I'm narrating my approach and strategies, very little quiet time, I kind of feel like I just went into Streamer Mode regardless of whether anyone was watching. There actually wasn't as much riffing as during that zombie game from ten weeks ago, I think this one had me genuinely riveted.
It looks like there are 80 levels in the Game Boy version. Are you going to finish it in your spare time?
I'm planning on streaming the final 30 this very Saturday on twitch.tv/KyleBosman
That's it for today. I might be moving apartments before the next Delayed Input, so while I plan and hope to have everything set up and rolling in time for Season 10 it's worth warning you that I might be coming in a little hot in 2 weeks. They do say that stress is good for comedy, which is nice because I want to try doing a funny joke in Delayed Input.
