Delayed Input 805 Post-Show Assessment

This was a weird episode. It's half me talking about things I truly believe and half me having fun and saying the opposite of what I believe; I wonder if it's hard for the audience to track sometimes. The basic idea was to fast forward whenever the viewer would lose patience with the episode, but then I thought the "Later" cards would make that a little funnier/simpler. I actually tried a bunch of different sound effects and musical themes for the Later cards and super late into the edit I felt it was most fun to cut to silence. It's the tinkering I actually like about editing.

I wrote a bunch more about Marvel Snap for the bonus bit that I wisely decided to just not record. Sometimes it's not til recording I get the sense, "This episode is a little long," and also, "I probably talk too much about Marvel Snap." But yeah I still think that game is really cool. There's a Disney+ series called Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, I had never heard of them before but their cards have great synergy in the game, I just think that stuff is sweet. But sometimes you just gotta end an episode and get straight to the morphing undies.
Fun bit about the sound effects for the morphing undies--it's a combination of Towel Snap 2, Servo Motor 5, and Tentacle Slime 3. To me that stuff is genuinely scary.

What's the last time you played a co-op game with someone on the same couch?
(cries for a minute)
Has to be some stream with Easy Allies in 2019. But also it's been nice that I've been able to help my niece and nephew with their games, and play Jackbox games with family on occasion, that kinda counts.

Do you feel any need/desire to make Delayed Input more approachable for new viewers after getting so many views last week?
I really felt like last week worked despite being extremely weird and probably unapproachable. Still I think in the back of my head I thought "I gotta think of something to one-up last week!" and it was a long time before I realized I was thinking that and shifted back to acting normal.

Was Bossy ever a nickname that you had?
It wasn't really a thing until Easy Allies. It's like a nickname I hate but begrudgingly embrace.

Would you consider the "waiting is the easiest part" as Delayed Input's first joke?
Delayed Input has had hundreds of jokes but I'm still searching for the first good one.

Kyle, if you even try to pretend this week didn't have Delayed Inputs first Good Joke I will pull my pledge.

So next week I will be traveling a lot, I'm not exactly sure when I'm going to write/record the ep but honestly I felt guilty postponing a full week when I could probably still produce a little something. On top of that I'll probably be off Game Awards week too, so it seemed too disruptive to miss 2 eps in 3 weeks. Anyway next week's ep will probably be something short and weird. On the plus side my grandmother is very funny and I'm hoping she might lend me one of her good jokes.
