Delayed Input 903 Post-Show Assessment

This was a weird episode. It's usually fun when a live event happens like this and I'll know exactly what topic I'll be covering. Normally directly referencing so many clips from a 42 minute video would make the edit overbearing, but I was a good Assistant Editor this week and put lots of time-specific links in the script, even for all the Experiences, and that helped out a lot.

Plucking out the word Experience from a press conference is an old gag I used to do, I believe from early, early Final Bosmans. I can sense when an Experience is coming, so much that when I'm hunting I'm unnaturally disappointed when they do say "game" or "play."  

A really fun part about Delayed Input is when I can just research something that interests me. There's almost 2 minutes of the video dedicated to the history of "directs" and it's just stuff I like learning and seeing. I definitely forgot how subdued and echoey that first Reggie Direct was. And I really didn't realize what Devolver was doing until I dug in. I like that our current format allows for long tangents for the sake of fun.

When I woke up this morning I did not expect to have an existential crisis about a Polychoron deficiency.

What do you think makes the difference between a regular friend and a close friend?
For me it's a certain level of secret sharing and general upkeep, but it's fluid. I think you have a lot of friends that could flip to Regular or Close in a moment.

Do you see a future where you talk about or even reference Avengers any more on the show?
I thought there was some nice finality to the shrinking into nothingness, but we all know I'll never stop thinking about Avengers. It's just a matter of time.

Did you take a lot of screenshots in Avengers? Once the game is shut down, maybe you can look at those and remember better times.

Do you think wearing that NY Giants cap will help jinx the Eagles in the NFC title game against San Francisco?
I'm not a superstitious person but out of respect I wanted to wait until their season was over before I wore the hat.

If you're looking for something else and you have some room, you can move the camera further away and you further from the backdrop to get that bokeh to make you pop a bit more.
I got a couple of comments about how I'm much bigger in the frame this season--it's because the moon backdrop is actually really small. You're basically seeing both edges (and last week a little crack of office on the far left) and there's already not a lot of space for moving the camera or backdrop stands. I'm already thinking about next season though, I really would like to do a nice out of focus background.

Whatever you did made the episode look *sharp* (in a good way) and brought out the blue in your eyes. What color are they anyway?
Green and brown, honestly not very special eye-wise.
