Announcement -- December 21, 2022

Hey, all. 

Brief update on my situation with a BIT MORE context: 

I made you all aware of two family members who were given some pretty bad medical diagnosis a few months ago. 

Recently, one of those two—my aunt, specifically, who has been a second mother to me and a matriarch of my family—had her condition rapidly decline, landing her in the hospital. 

It's unmoored my entire family. 

Between ceaseless phone calls from concerned family and friends, taking care of my aunt's affairs, and conversing with doctors, I've had no time for myself at all; hence the delay in the most recent story update and my relative silence on discord, deviantart, and in comments on Patreon. 

As for right now, my primary concern is being there for my family—my mother, specifically, who is having a hard time with all of this.

And until we get a clearer picture on what to expect from the next couple days, my priority will continued to be looking after and providing for my family. 

What that means for the Patreon is. . . I'm putting a hold on weekly story uploads for a short while (let's start with a week or two). I don't want to—and never have before—but I feel it's a necessity given the current situation, as I'm barely ever home and rarely get time to myself to write.

For clarification, that means I'll upload what I can in the time I can spare later at night or early in the morning, but that the progress made and the uploads associated with that work will not be on a weekly basis.

I'll also try to keep you all posted on the status of family stuff so you can reasonably expect when I'll be able to make some semblance of a full return. 

But upload regularity just isn't something I can manage, at least until we have a good idea of how things will go medically, which we should in the coming days/week.

So look forward to that update.
