October Update + World Lore

So everyone the cat's outta the bag for this one. For the next video we'll be having the 4th episode of Cursed Builds finally releasing!!! It shall be KOBOLDS!!!!

November is gonna start with a blast as we release a near 30 minute QnA video, followed by the Life of the Necromancer episode, and then a new Life of Artificer skit compilation on YouTube!

December will be looking pretty fresh with a life of Warforged if I can finish it, and of course the long awaited Christmas episode. This year will the holiday's most ambitious story telling yet!!!

The Warforged of The Iron Legion

"When we saw them marching towards us, I thought it was the end finally come to finish us off. Their weapons were Imperial, firing molten metal at speeds faster than any crossbow. Their armor shined like crystals, and by the Ancestors their knives were the size of a full grown man. What terrified me the most, was seeing them fall from the Hakarian Sky-Ships above us. When the ground quaked as they landed, I remember seeing those eyes made of glass. As it moved from me to the Demons infesting my people's ancestral home, I know what I saw. They didn't need expressions like men to show it. These creatures of metal felt only one thing as they gazed at the forces of the Abyss. Hatred."

Within the world of Rakara, Warforged rarely make their way out of the western lands of the Mankara Imperium. Those that do are usually given as gifts to emissaries or important world leaders that have allied with the Imperium. But even those are just simple machines programmed to defend their charges at all costs.

The Iron Legion represented something far superior. 100 Warforged crafted as giants and loaded with the best weapons and armor the Imperium could afford. These metal monsters were widely regarded as the most advanced of their kind. To a point where near the end of the war, many if not all began to speak of a "Great Awakening" among their ranks. They spoke as if they had become aware of their surroundings, felt emotions like their mortal counterparts, and some even debated acquiring a soul from one of the Gods of the world. While still heavily debated if truly alive or simply mimicking the other Legions of the Imperium, scholars argue that whatever methods went into creating the members of The Iron Legion may have inadvertently created consciousness in the otherwise non-sentient creatures; or it may have simply been years of exposure to otherwise terrifying existential threats.

To this day it is still a point of study, but there have been no other Warforged created to match the Iron Legion's design, nor any word from their mysterious Creator whom disappeared during the Cataclysm.

Of the Iron Legion, the best of the best were compiled into a group known as the Praetorians. Find out more below!

-Unit 009 "Inferno"

-A fanatically loyal creation that wields a flamethrower, believing the holy flames it spews have been blessed by the God Dragon of the Mankara Imperium. Inferno believed that which she destroys with flame was reborn again in the light of the Dragon, and so in her mind she did not kill Demons or Heretics. She saved them and cleansed their lost souls.

-Unit 100 "Basilisk"

-The "Youngest" of the Iron legion. Basilisk was created as the CQC specialist, and indulges in a predatory like joy when hunting Demons. Equipped with claws coated in the same Dragon-Steel that makes up his body, having been blessed a dozen times over, his brutal methods are matched only by his unwavering fanaticism in the Empire; and his firm faith in his place as their weapon against any enemy.

-Unit 002 "Petal"

- Acting as a roving library of medical knowledge, Petal prided herself in being able to assist with even the most delicate of surgeries on organics when magic wasn't an option. As the second in command of the Praetorian Squad of the Iron Legion, She provided invaluable tactical knowledge to any conflict the team found themselves in. Petal was widely described as a very kind and caring member of the Iron Legion, known throughout the rest of the Imperial Legions as "Petal The Kind" or even "The Gentle Giantess."

- Unit 047 "Peaches"

-A fiery and energetic machine with a never ending need for speed. Peaches was given a number of augmentations to achieve speeds nearly five times that of any normal legionary, and was widely regarded as being physically unable to sit still. A pious member of the Legion, Peaches also find solace in knowing she was created to serve Order in a world of Chaos. Ever curious. Peaches was one of the first to achieve an awakened state, and understand who she was. While consciousness may breed dread, for Peaches it was seen as a gift from the God Dragon, and proof they were fighting for the right cause.

-Unit 001 "Centurion"

-Created as the first of the Legion, Centurion was given the finest in almost every regard. With centuries of Imperial Military History, Tactics & Warfare, and Combat Training forged into the circuits that powered his body; Centurion stood as the prototype to what the rest of the Legion would become. Given the order to ensure the world would stand, the Imperium endured, and all that could not protect themselves would be safe, Centurion set out on a bloody crusade against the armies of the Abyss for thirty years.

-At the end of the Cataclysm, he is now the only Warforged present in the Kingdom of New Forge that has obtained self-awareness. Perhaps even the world.
