I just realised who's the one narrating the 6 month gap recap. this is brillant.

2026-03-12 09:43:37 +0000 UTCMeaning Hikaru impregnated Taiki's mother when he was 12, and she was an adult. Her husband probably found out about this, hence the murder-suicide.

2026-03-12 03:34:48 +0000 UTCFinally got a bit of dialogue for Ichigo. Still sucks that he left his wife high & dry afterwards, won’t try to justify that, but he’s at least a somewhat understandable character. 😭

2026-03-11 22:27:33 +0000 UTCRemember Aqua and Ruby’s half brother is 3 years older then them. And papa was 15 when Ai was pregnant. So yeah 😟

2026-03-11 21:28:31 +0000 UTCHere's a scary thought I had: What if it was Ai who influenced Hikaru Kamiki. When you think about it, we really know nothing of the true Ai. But if she fell in love with Kamiki, and even had children with him... One would think she showed her true self to him... And he was 15 at the time they started going out. We know Ai was raised in an orphanage, and never really had a good understanding surrounding love, and turned her entire personality into a lie. Only in death was she certain that her love for her children was true. A fifteen-year-old younger boy going out with a person of that mental state ends up becoming a murderer? I think author is trying to pull one of those "You had the clues the entire time. You were just deceived by her facade (her lie)" Another funny thing I realized is that Ai can also be interpreted as the English word for I. And the idol known as Ai is a lie, so "Ai lie." can also be interpreted as "I lie." This show does fun things like this with its title too. "Oshi no ko" bascially means "The girl I root for," but "oshi" sounds like "hoshi" meaning star. And their name is "Hoshino," meaning "star of." And that sounds like "Oshi no" which is part of the title. So the title can also be heard as "hoshi no ko" which means "child of star." But it doesn't end there, oh no, because, in their eyes are stars, and in the title, the "o" in "no" is an eyeball with a star in it, and "Ai" can also be interpreted as the English word for "Eye," and the child of the star is anyone who is a young woman or a child (as "ko" can mean young woman/child). Hence coming back to "child of star." Child of the person with a star in their eyes. It's crazy how deep this goes, and I may even be missing something myself. I don't think this will play a part in the narrative, but it's a clever pun on the title and characters. Actually another one I can think of is "hoshii," meaning "want." which sounds like "hoshi." "Hoshii no ko" meaning "The child/girl I want." That one kinda plays more into the narrative if you put it from Kamiki's perspective. He wanted Ai, and then her children...? Maybe? And supposedly Ai wasn't the only woman he had children with..? Even the title is starting to sound like it's all part of Kamiki's play. In the intro he controls his children like marionettes. My theory is that Kamiki sees his victims as actors that he is directing. The script ends in a gruesome death. And to read into Hikaru Kamiki, it means something like Shining Sacred Tree... Although it could have other meanings, I'm not that good at Japanese. But to dig into it a bit more, "Hikaru" means to glitter, shine, or light up. "Kami" means god. And "ki" means tree. If you're to compare him to a tree... He definitely spreads his seeds like one. All over the place, apparently. And then of course, the shining and glittering part would be his eyes, which he might've gotten from Ai, like I mentioned, as a way to visualize that he was influenced by her, as Ai had those eyes even before she met him, I think. But the shining star eyes were her lie. And if her children right now are anything to go by... Her true self were probably not so shiny, but a dark abyss. So if she showed that to young Kamiki...?

2026-03-11 21:22:05 +0000 UTCI am very afraid for all of our main female cast. I will never forget what they did to us during the pilot. No one is safe; tragedy is ensured. My complete shot in the dark prediction is one of the female leads gets manipulated by Pops, and the story ends with Aqua sacrificing himself, redeeming his failure to save Ai by protecting X (prob Ruby).
