Archaic Sketchbook

Started out as a quick sketch and then my imagination just got curious and began answering questions. This must be what it feels like to have fun and deeply be involved with your own ideas. Didn't want to stop despite other more pressing things to get done.
I'm in a stage with my art where I fight two things I really enjoy stylistically, realism and cartoon...ism everyone gets an ism. Even though I should just in indulge in both rather than worry about it. I feel like I'm getting comfy with that thought more and more with each drawing.
Orin's continued to grow on me since the first time I drew him. He's changed and turned into someone I do really enjoy drawing even though it can be hard sometimes. I've always wanted to make a game that felt like Megaman Legends/Ocarina of time with a multiplayer aspect like PSO part 1 and 2 (not what it is now exactly lol). Orin was the start of that. Exploring in games has always been my favorite thing and to be able to do that with friends just seems like a really nice time. I remember spending so many hours during summer vacation with my little brother and neighbor getting through PSO. Even though it was small by today's standards it always felt like there was a mystery to it all. We didn't even know it was an online game back then.
So I doodled some notes and tried drawing things I tend to avoid out of fear. I'm really happy with this page. Feels real to me.
