One of my stories was removed for the same reason. They said “something scary has to happen to the main character in every post”. And harrowing experiences do not count, it has to be something physical. I have since decided to just post it all on creepcast reddit and ditch nosleep. This seems to be why a lot of long nosleep stories are posted as 1 part instead of multi posts. Bc then every post would have to feature physical violence toward the MC

Wont spoil my story since it has since been posted in the creepcast reddit but they literally mean something scary has to happen to the character physically. Emotionally harrowing does not count, and “altercations” do not count. AND something physical has to happen to the character in EVERY PART. Which i assume is why so many long stories are posted as one post.

Awesome first story with truly creepy moments. The teaser finally has context. Great writing and pacing. Guys great performance, presentation and interpretation. Was it head trauma? Was it just evil? Did he die and was already in a hell? (I guess this applies to the 2nd story but I liked the first story better) But I’m still not moving until I speak with a manager, although now I just want to tell him what a nice experience that was. Hell now I am not moving or leaving this establishment because of how good that was. I will scream and never move or listen until I can find something to complain about. Also, I’ve heard the feedback from some people saying there hasn’t been a business where I’m standing for hundreds of years and I’m in the middle of an intersection but I think you’re the crazy ones .

As a guy who is an aspiring horror writer, R/nosleep and the way they moderate it seems extremely frustrating. I get there are rules, but some of the stories I've seen get pulled seem like the mod pulled them just because they didn't like it. I do appreciate the like 3 minute rant about how an indescribable pedophile would save LITERALLY any story in their eyes though.

I'm watching this during my lunch and man. This story is already reminding me of my own concussion (which I also got in a car crash). The main difference is that in my case, I was the one who felt off. It was like I had to learn how to be me again. It's interesting that this story is going to do the opposite. The way the first story is written, I think it would be a lot of fun to think of it as it's all a combination of brain damage and being in a coma for far longer than he is made to believe and his friends and family trying to slowly ease him into reality while keeping a constant eye on his mental state. His parents aren't some deformed, frail, monstrosities, they were just young one moment, then very old the next, and they never do anything to hurt him or threaten him, just, again, keeping an eye on his mental state. It's all just his memories from before the accident clashing with his new reality with a bit of brain trauma mixed in. That's how I like to think of it anyways.

Great stories but I don't really wanna harp on the super pedophile thing but I simply have to agree a super pedophile that maybe bursts into flames and molests the main character setting him ablaze and the character being oh idk a little quirky and says something like "ermm.. that just happened" and then his father comes into the room (where the molestation is happening) and throws a grenade at the super pedophile killing the main character (not the super pedophile because their a super pedophile) and the dad says something catchy like "touch this" or "I hope this doesn't kill my molested son" (which it obviously does because it's a freakin grenade LOL) just a thought 😉
