The Seperation of the Mod and the Server and Moving Forward

Hello Conquest Reforged community,  

The Mod Development Team and Server Team moved to split and pursue separate paths. Understandably, this decision seems hasty, but we do not make it lightly, pursuing what we believe to be the route that holds the best prospects for the Conquest Reforged mod and everyone using it.  

To be more specific, we wish to distance ourselves from promoting one "official" server in order to foster a community where everyone can speak freely of where they play and construct builds. By doing this, we hope to extend the Conquest Reforged network to everyone, including players sidelined and excluded in the past, united by the creative freedom which Conquest Reforged mod seeks to enable.   

As a consequence of the transition between the Mod and Server being tied together and not being tied together, the server itself has been shut down. Respecting that some patrons were donating solely to support the server, the Server Team received enough money from December's donations for both the mod and the server to run another server for 3 months.  Also realizing that many players are afraid of losing their builds, we are providing a download for the worlds that were on that server here:  https://www.mediafire.com/file/1v6d2ji63wjixdf/server_worlds.7z . If anyone takes issue with this download for some reason, please contact me instead of other developers.  

That being said, to my knowledge the Conquest Reforged server is not continuing. Other servers are more than welcome to make themselves known and share their projects in the Discord's #promotion channel.  As I have acquired this Discord server from DeCypher, it is now the home for just the Conquest Reforged mod and its community. Previous bans have been lifted and the rules are less strict now. Nonetheless, discussion still ought to be civil. A new website is under construction, so if you need to redownload the launcher or need help finding any downloads check out the list of download links on the Discord's #about-page! The conquestreforged.com domain will continue to be used, and currently redirects to the Conquest Reforged PMC, but not all variations of the domain will do so right now as this is temporary.  

Not much is changing for Conquest Reforged patrons. While donations no longer go to supporting an official server and names of patrons are no longer posted on a website page, all patrons of the third tier still will have access to development builds and receive the Patron rank on this Discord (Patreon is being quite slow in reassigning the ranks, so once things are sorted on their end the ranks will be updated for all patrons of the third tier).   

Of course, development of the mod is not pausing, and we look forward to focusing solely on the success of the mod and pushing ahead on the 1.12 Conquest Reforged update!
