The air is thick with the heavy scent of damp earth and decaying vegetation. The trees, towering above, are twisted and gnarled, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers. This is the domain of the serpentfolk, a race of ancient beings who have made this eerie forest their home. Half-human and half-serpent, they possessed an ancient and mystical lineage, their origins lost to time.
The serpentfolk, with their scaly bodies and sinuous movements, move silently through the undergrowth. Their eyes, glowing with an otherworldly light, survey their surroundings with an intense curiosity. They possess a deep connection to the serpents that slither through the tangled underbrush, often seen coiled around their arms or resting upon their shoulders.
The serpentfolk possessed a deep connection with nature, communicating with the flora and fauna of the forest. They lived in harmony with the carnivorous plants and twisted vines that surrounded them, understanding their dark allure and mysterious ways. The forest itself seemed to respond to their presence, guiding them through its depths and shielding them from intruders.
