New Darksides Video and Tier Updates:

Hey ya’ll,

Hope everything is going well. Sorry for the long post, we’ve got a lot to cover here. First off, here’s the new Darksides I made today for the movie Double Blind, I really hope you enjoy it!

Secondly, I’ve got the updated list of benefits for each tier here on the Patreon. This is what I have at the moment, but I really would like suggestions from people on how I can improve this and what folks would be excited by or like to see here:

REGULAR BENEFITS

-Early access to videos before they are released

-Scripts of most videos when they are uploaded to Patreon

-Name in the credits for all main channel videos

-Access to a “Roadmap” Google document that I am going to make where I list all loose ideas that I have for future main channel and Darkside videos so that you get a general idea of where my mind is and what I have planned

-Questions included in Q&A Darkside videos time permitting after all Plus Tier questions have been answered

-Scheduled private steam or short video after each main channel video talking a little about the subject of the video or the process that went into making them

-Polls on future franchise videos

-Any behind the scenes photographs or material if I’m doing something out of the ordinary (such as the progress pictures building the set last year). 

PLUS TIER BENEFITS

-Polls to vote on themes for specific months of Darksides

-How this will work is that we will take suggestions from people for subgenres and then vote on them, but the ones that do not make it will stay around the next time there is a poll so that everyone’s ideas don’t go away after a single vote. New suggestions can be made at any time. 

-Other related polls on individual Darksides videos

-Access to another Google document that I am going to create that can be edited by members of this tier to give suggestions of ideas or movie suggestions that they’d like to see used for future Darksides. This could be a place to give input or ideas in a way that I think could be fun. I’ll go through these and make videos on ones that I resonate with. 

-Special verbal thanks or shout out to randomized members of this tier in most main channel videos, will eventually thank everyone over time 

-Prioritized spot in Q&A videos (guarantee that I’ll answer them first)

-Access to other writing that I do but end up not publishing, past unfinished abandoned scripts, or early preview of my novel which is almost completed 

To be fully honest I’ve put a lot of thought into this decision and at this moment I don’t know if I want to re-open the Discord. Genuinely I’m very sorry for that. As someone with a lot of social anxiety with stuff, I really don’t like using social media very much and, while I always enjoyed talking with folks on the Discord, it would afterward leave me feeling incredibly drained and it regularly gave me nightmares as silly as that sounds. I think a good replacement is the above mentioned idea for short videos or a private invite stream to talk with everyone about main channel videos after they’re released. I think that will provide an outlet similar the Discord but will be much less of a stress on me mentally since it will be pre-scheduled and I’ll know it will be coming up. Hard to describe why, but I just get the sense that that would be an easier way for me to maintain this.

I do want to note that I’m currently out of town traveling with my aunt for the next week so any changes made will have to wait until I get back unfortunately. Because of that I won’t be able to put together the two documents until I return, but that will be the first priority when I get back. This will also give time for people to give any feedback that they would like in the comments of this post. Thank you all so much, it means a lot to me. I’m all ears and want to do what feels right here to make this the best kind of thing it can be. Werewolves is still going strong, and I feel like it is going to be a great series.
