New Darksides on Daddy's Head

Hey everyone! Hope you are getting a good start to the year. Apologies that there wasn't one of these earlier, I had a neck injury and couldn't speak for a while which made recording impossible, so I spent that time doing research for videos instead. Progress on the history of werewolves is going very well still, as of right now I imagine it is going to end up being three parts with each one being about two hours, and I’m having a lot of fun with that so far. Later this month or early February there’s also going to be another short franchise video to tide me over until that project is completed, and then after that I’ve got a few fun ideas that I’d like to do but I’m letting those gestate for the moment. Hope everything in your lives is going well, and I’ll be back again soon with some more Darksides and information about those projects. Also next week I am one hundred percent going to sit down and work on benefits for the upper tier of this, my apologies that I haven’t done that yet that’s on me. Life got away from me there but I need to make that a priority.  Thanks again so much, and will be back soon.

I know it's two weeks in but happy New Year's, here's to the remaining 50 not being awful. And good to hear research progress and healing are going well. Also in the time away, I got more werewolf suggestions: Not specifically werewolves/shapeshifters but important wolves in mythology like Fenrir, the Roman she-wolf and Big Bad Wolf fairy tales Paris literally besieged by wolves in middle ages The practice of giving historical serial killers werewolf-themed nicknames like the Werewolf of Bedburg or the Moon Maniac - origins of the word lunatic could be related Wolf packs hunting in WW1 trenches Saint Francis of Assisi vs the Wolf of Gubbio. Again not technically a werewolf but the story might be important for discussing the European Christianity element in the folklore. Also Gubbio is a nice name to say out loud The case of the Hexham Heads. Ghostly werewolf/were-goat apparition involved. Interesting fact about the case… it occurred in the English town of Hexham which also had another alleged case paranormal regarding the reincarnation of the Pollock twin sisters some years earlier. A second weird coincidence is that Hexham in 1904 had a literal grey wolf escape from a zoo and attack local livestock so some people have made connections between the Hexham Wolf and the heads' apparition. There's a lot of other little strange and morbid tid bits about Hexham to the point where I like to think of it as the UK's Salem. It certainly has an appropriate name, although no witch burnings ever happened there to my knowledge. Draugluin, Carcharoth and the werewolves in Tolkien’s Legenderium Werewolf: The True Story of Demonic Possession. One of Ed and Lorraine Warrens’ hoaxes, this one about an alleged werewolf. Obviously up to the literature writer to work on Sonic the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed Moon of the Wolf Werewolf Women of the SS Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory Bonehill Road Werewolf Santa Morbach Monster. That legend deserves a movie And Lycanroc's Midnight form from Pokemon. You're a 90s kid right so may I presume you were caught up in the Pokemon craze? Something on horror in Pokemon would be nice to see some day, talking about the various inspirations for scarier designs and such. Like in a 10th anniversary extended remake of kids horror or just as a franchise video

glad you're healing up okay; I'm super excited for the history of werewolves!

HuntressWarlock

Thanks! It’s gotten better now. It was actually a hit to the throat. Total accident but was very scared at the time because I legitimately couldn’t speak for like two weeks. Every time I tried it hurt really badly and it just came out like a wheezing breathy sound. But after that it gradually started to get stronger and now it’s basically back to normal. Was very stressful though lol

In Praise of Shadows

Oh no! Hope the research process hasn't exacerbated it, craning your neck and leaning closer to read things and such. Feel better, brah!
