Season III recap & Winter Cleaning update.
Added 2025-02-04 07:16:37 +0000 UTCSome time had passed, and I've got some textual symbols to share.
I tried to finish EC III-XIV and did not succeed. I'll probably submit the story part here eventually, and that will be the end of it. After I admitted defeat, the challenge of deciding on a new format arose, and that took some time as well, as I realized during season III that one size does not, in fact, fit all.
My main takeaways from the season III are as such:
Division into theatrical releases and Extended cuts was justified;
My drawings have increased in quality, but as reduction of my art-dedicated time struck, it resulted in noticeably less stuff done per month;
Sequences are vital, but they do not fit. I kind of managed to adjust to that problem towards the end of the season, but a more permanent solution is needed, and I believe I've come up with it now;
I don't love to keep you hanging for weeks and I failed to develop The White Mall meaningfully, even though I still think I took the right course with it. I don't think I'll combust if I try, so I probably will.
The main feature of the Winter Cleaning update is that I put my Patreon posts containing EC episodes into Collections. Now you can view them in order more conveniently.
Regarding Season IV, I elected to take advantage of DeviantArt's multiple pages feature to develop a layout for sequence-based episodes. Width-to-height ratio might still be subject to fluctuations, but overall, one page for one part of a sequence shall look as shown below.
To conclude, it is increasingly heartwarming to gloss over my DA gallery. I sure hope it won't be 2026 before I see it grow again. New concept list will be out soon for Consulting members. Peace.
