:: "Do you know when StaringBack's fanfic is going to update?" :: I don't... Staringback & I exchange the occasional email when I'm giving updates or asking for permissions, but we're not close enough for me to know!
:: "When the comic catches up to the fanfic, are you going to finish it yourself?" :: I appreciate the trust you have in me to create an ending, but I wouldn't want to! The story is not mine to finish, it's Staringback's! I may do a commemorative artwork or something, though! This is assuming we may ever catch up, given that it's taken at least a year to do each chapter. (The fic is standing at thirty someought chapters! Is that thirty more years?!)
:: "Do you take commissions?" :: Rarely! When I do, I will inform my Patrons here first before anyone! ^^

Omg 8u8!!! My favorite comic to work on is absolutely Cannibal October <3 I think pages 35-42 I feel especially good about!! I also love working on the slices of life of OCs <:)c!!! Esp. when I can get some silliness out of the more refined characters!! TTUTT!!!! For Sooner or Later, it's hard to pick a chapter, I'm thankful for the entire thing bc it introduced me to my loving partner, and also helped me establish my art career <:)c!!

2025-09-27 06:54:52 +0000 UTCHiya Vixen!! Gosh, I appreciate the curiosity, I'm flattered to be asked!! Certainly I feel I'm a long ways from where I'd want to be, but I got to where I am currently through experience drawing comics! I'd been drawing all my life, and drawing comics more or less forces you to have to get comfortable drawing everything out there-! Poses, angles, objects, environments etc! I think it helps a lot to know who your inspirations are and to have multiples of them that you can look to. And when you're feeling lost, remember your strengths!! As a personal storytime I struggled finding my style for a while (as a lot of artists do) because part of me loved manga but another part of me felt like I'd "lose" the battle if I explored eastern comic styles-- (I wanted to draw like pen & ink artists like charles gibson or franklin booth you see!) So I felt very stuck... Until I discovered Kamome shirahama who basically was a perfect middle ground between the two styles with their series "witch hat atelier"... I was really stuck in this headspace that there was a "right" and "wrong" way of doing things, and so seeing this artist be such a perfect blend of those styles sort of felt like I had been given "permission" to explore that kind of style myself. So I guess I'd want to advice that there's no right and wrong way of doing things, and if you want to involve certain elements or draw a certain way don't let yourself get in your own path and just do what you want 8u8

JuJu asked Staringback to bring her work of Sooner or Later You'll Be Mine to life. And IT'S F&#@ING AMAZING! (...a-and I may get into trouble for that. Dangit...) In the meantime, be patient!
