Thank You + Next Video

Hey everyone,

I'm writing to thank you for all of your support this year. This was a pivotal one for both the channel and my freelance work in its periphery. Your contributions are the lifeline for independent creators, the sole reason that we can work on our own, and I'll never take that for granted. I only wish I had more ways to express my gratitude!

On a personal note, I am mourning the loss of my grandfather this week. He was the most important man in my life and someone I aspire to be in everything I do. I am fortunate to have had such a significant leader and friend in him – perhaps you have someone similar in your life to compare.

I've fallen off pace to finish the next video before the end of the year, but I'm working hard this week and next week to catch up. It's an extremely ambitious project to the scale of the Phyrexian documentary, and I hope to do it justice. It just needs a little more time in the oven. The thumbnail of this post is a hint at its main topic.

In the meantime, I've started a Substack that you can follow for free. I'll be writing informal articles there, as well as curating a new series that I've wanted to do for a long time called SIGNAL PEST where I spotlight inspiring work in Magic and elsewhere. Look out for a couple new podcast episodes as well once I get back to Austin from being in my hometown with my family.
