auuugh holy shit - lots to catch up on. game is starting to take real shape and i'm excited about it :3 it's essentially all this project for this month...

this post is pretty late. i spent the entire month of september in the hiring process as a cook for a fancy restaurant, got completely onboarded and completed 3 training shifts, then got a text that the restaurant has to close on sundays now and they had to terminate the position from being overstaffed. so i went from being exhausted by new job to being frankly pretty crushed and devastated. it would have made my life a lot easier and more stable so it's hard to get such a solid beacon of hope and progress only to get it yanked away at the exact moment I exhaled. not to mention taking precious time and mental energy away from applying to other jobs that actually have money to introduce more staff. thanks so much to everyone who has joined up or bought a print or even both of those things so i can like... eat and pay some bills and cry in an epsom salt bath. i'm really grateful.

so... at least i can throw myself at the game some more. october is going to see a lot of progress so I'm excited for that. right now we're working on the dungeon aspect of the game so it's been a lot of picking away at mechanics and combat ui and whatnot. it is really bizarre and exciting to be making a game-ass game with gameplay o_o

speaking of, i've been really blown away by Little Goody Two-Shoes and UFO 50 this month... LGTS is such a marvel of artistry, I feel so aligned and inspired by their maximalist creativity on every facet of the game's construction truly! kindred spirits. UFO 50 also... incredible incredible work and value, it's stunning... i'm personally mourning the fact that my collaborators cherried Party House and Rock On Island while i was away but at least i have... Grimstone..... Maria is so sexy... shoot and rob me too.........it's okay.........

another nugget of special news is worst girls is going to have an archive fire sale and put up a bunch of out of print things we still have lying around, like the electrotoxin pins and the original glow in the dark wktd sweatshirts. it looks like that'll be on october 15th so keep an eye out!
