Kiri's RKGK sprites.

SCC Segmented Carbon Composite is a class of fictional materials that are fabric-like but can be hardened when activated. The exact mechanical properties vary between different sub-types but overall it's a very mature technology in Nusisring and has seen widespread use in most regions, both by the military and in civilian settings.

Explanation of Kiri's kit was already done pretty thoroughly in her kit instruction page so I'll just repost that here.

Regarding the drawing, originally for the sprite on the right, there were to be parts of her sleeve on the floor during different stages of the shield assembly process, however, the overall drawing became very messy because of it, so they were removed from the final drawing. Nevertheless, I've included them in the alt version in the attachment and have numbered the parts, below are what they are:

1: Main part of the right sleeve, hardened to form one of two panels of the shield;

2: Inner part of the right sleeve, undeployed;

2a: Soft lining around the top opening of the sleeve. It is where the sleeve is fastened around the upper arm so the softer fabric is more comfortable on the skin. It also folds outward to cover the pull tab (5a & b) underneath the removable pocket (4), preventing accidental activation.

2b: Activation pull tab (attached to the Velcroed patch on the sleeve, same place to attach the removable pocket);

2c: Fastener strap;

3: Paddings, one piece inside each sleeve. When deploying the shield, both pieces can be stacked together and attached to the inside of the shield; 

4: Removable pocket, normally attached to the sleeve (2) via Velcro;

5: Inner part of the left sleeve during deployment, right half of it is already hardened, crystallisation slowly propagates leftwards until the entire sleeve takes on the shape of the shield handle;

5a: Activation switch, when the tab is pulled, it generates an electric signal to initiate the hardening process;

5b: The pull tab, one side is Velcro and can be attached to the Velcroed patch on the sleeve, normally hidden underneath the removable pocket);

6: Removable pocket with the left sleeve's soft lining and fastener strap stored inside. Once the shield is assembled, it can be attached to the inside of the shield, as shown in the top-left sprite.
