Nightingale Patrol
Added 2023-08-09 19:07:50 +0000 UTCImperial Army enforces strict policies on accepting gifts and/or trading with civilians, but as a subsidiary militia group, Nightingales maintain a more nuanced relationship with the Yanrong settlements.
Small teams of locally selected members with minimal use of drones are usually welcomed by the settlements they patrol. It's not uncommon to see them staying at local residents' homes during breaks; whether or not they pay for the refreshments is at the members' own discretion.
A network of friendly settlements can enable long patrol runs into areas with few Imperial facilities. Less hospitable settlements are still visited (examining the conditions of Blue Heaven terminals in the vicinity being one of the routine tasks), but interactions will be more formal and abide more by Imperial protocols.
Because Nightingales spend a lot of time moving between settlements, they might sometimes help carry and deliver items for well-acquainted local residents, provided the weight or value of the items isn't significant enough to become a liability or hindrance to the mission.
