This F.A.Q. has existed on the discord server for quite a while, now it's transferred to here too.

1.1 - Where can I download the game?

Links are being updated with each release in the ⁠about section.

1.2 - I'm trying to download the game, but downloading just stops, and it writes "error".

Try the second link, for example, try Mega if you used Google and otherwise. You can also try downloading it from itch.io, you can also try another browser.

1.3 - The game still in development? What is the latest version?

Yes, the game is always being worked on. You can check the ⁠⁠about section for the 'update status' and latest available version.
2.1 - When will there be a release of the new update of MurMur?

There is no ETA for updates. The developer does most of the work himself, and it takes time to reach a desirable quality. Which usually leads to taking more time than it can be thought of initially. Thus making it challenging to set up a deadline for this and other reasons. As a result, it was decided not to set ETAs for the updates, not to make false promises and disappoint people who are waiting for the game. If you're willing to contribute to the development of the project, you can support it here on Patreon or just by being a part of the community, for example in the discord server. Otherwise, just wait for it. Work on the future updates never stops.

2.2 - What has been added in the new version?

Changelog always posts before the update, you can read the last one here.

3.1 - Where can I find my saves? For PC and MAC versions:

WINDOWS - %AppData%\Roaming\RenPy\MurMur-#Numbers
MAC - ~/Library/RenPy/MurMur-#Numbers
LINUX - ~/.renpy/MurMur-#Numbers

For 0.6 Android version or older:

Android 10 or older - Android\data\RenPy\MurMur-#Numbers
Android 11 or higher - Android\data\com.dd.murmur\files\saves

For 0.7 or 0.6.1 Android version:

All Android versions - Documents\RenPy_Saves\com.dd.murmur

3.2 - If I will download and install the new version, will my saves remain?

PC - Yes, if you haven't deleted the folder specified above, you can back it up just in case. But you don't have to keep the folder with the game.
Android - It's advised to back up the folder specified above before deleting the game, not to lose saves. To transfer your saves from 0.6 to 0.7 or 0.6.1 read the next entry in this section.

3.3 - How to transfer saves from 0.6 to 0.7 or 0.6.1?

Or follow these steps:

1) Copy or Move your old saves from there they are located to any other folder Android 10 or older - Android\data\RenPy\MurMur-#Numbers Android 11 or higher - Android\data\com.dd.murmur\files\saves !!! NOT FOLDER "files\saves" BUT WHAT'S INSIDE OF IT !!! You will need a file manager to have access to these folders, for example this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.explorer
2) Delete the game - this should delete saves from old folders stated above
3) Install the new update, launch it once and allow asked permission - this is necessary in order for the game to create a new save folder
4) Copy or Move your save files to the new folder that was created by the app after the launch, paste overwriting everything New save folder location - Documents\RenPy_Saves\com.dd.murmur
5) Launch the game and if you have your save files, you did everything correct, if not, recheck every step you did and folders where you've pasted files
6) Play and enjoy

4.1 - There is a greyed-out choice with something I want to do with a girl. Why can't I choose it?

You don't have enough love or lewd points with that girl to unlock that choice. You need a certain amount of one, or the other. Receive those points by choosing romantic or naughty options accordingly. For example, in the picture, you would need more love points.

4.2 - If I choose all the girls, will I lose some scenes?

Choosing all girls doesn't block you from scenes. The game is meant to be played the "hаrem" way. However, you can't get all the content in one playthrough, hence love and lewd points.

4.3 - Can I choose only one girl or on the other hand exclude someone?

As said above, the game is meant to be played the "hаrem" way. And as of now, you can't go for one girl route or exclude girls from the harem.

4.4 - Where can I find the walkthrough of the game?

If you have the access to it, you can discuss it in with others in the walkthrough-discussion channel on discord server

4.5 - I found the bug/error/misspelling/typo/problem/etc...

You can report about it on the discord server in the bug-reports channel or wherever it's fitting for you here on Patreon (DMs/commentaries/etc.)

5.1 - Is there a gallery feature in this game?

The gallery was introduced with the 0.6 release.

5.2 - Are there any sounds in this game besides the music?

Currently, you can enable SFX Demo option in the settings to get WIP sound effects. If you have any experience in making SFX for animations or can assist in some way, please don't hesitate to contact the developer via Patreon here or by direct message to @Devil's Dad on discord.

5.3 - Is there an official translation to my language or a translation patch?

As of now, only English language is officially available in the game, but you can try looking out for fan made translations modifications on the net.

5.4 - Can I use mods for this game?

There is only one official version of the game, the one you can download from Patreon or Itch.io. There are no mods supported by the developer. Any mod can potentially break your save or game, use them at your own risk.

5.5 - Will there be THAT or THIS fetish in the game?

All current content tags and planned ones are written in the about section. As for the things that are currently NOT in the game - The game is in development, future content is a matter of change. Things can be added or deleted.

5.6 - What are the songs in the game? What OST? I've heard it somewhere.

Most of the music is free music that you can find online.

6.1 - How can I support the game development?

Mainly through the Patreon here.
Note from the dev: It's your money, and you are free to spend them however you want, so please think if you will be satisfied with spending that money on my project. Updates are taking a long time to keep the quality of everything on the level. If you are low on income or any other reason stops you from pledging, then don't. I'm not working to disappoint someone. In addition to the Patreon, you can also become a part of our community. Every kind word is a motivation to move forward.

6.2 - What rewards will I get from supporting?

Please consider that all payments are seen as support\donation by Patreon and developer. That's why you're becoming a Patron. However, in exchange for your support, you can get rewards that are written in the corresponding tier on the Patreon, the higher the tier, the more rewards you can get.

6.3 - How and when the rewards/updates are being published, when do I expect them?

Rewards are published here on Patreon with a post that is unlocked to a corresponding tier.
Here is a list of approximate times of when specified reward is published:

Custom CGs - are not exactly a benefit as those are published for everyone with the exception of 18+ works being available for paid only members, as Patreon rules insist. Depending on how many custom CGs are made\available, the developer posts them throughout the month, in the first days of the month, sometimes in the middle of the month or rarely at the end of the month.
Wallpapers - those are posted at the end of the month, make sure not to miss it.
Updates - whenever the update is finished, you will see the Access dates post, that will include full information on when to expect the release.
Walkthrough - usually published with the highest tier release of the game update.

Note: The developer spends most of the time on the game production, so post times may slightly vary.

6.4 - I don't have my supporter role on discord, or my role is wrong.

The Patreon bot behaves poorly at times. Send a direct message to the developer here or ping @Devil's Dad on discord with that problem.

6.5 - Are there custom tiers?/I want to donate more.

This feature on Patreon has changed over time, and we don't know how it works now. If you want a certain reward that may not be available, for example a custom CG slot, or if you want just donate more than existing tiers can offer, please contact the developer via Patreon direct messages to discuss this beforehand. Please consider that if you will increase the pledge amount above what the tier has set, you might still be locked to that tier's rewards and everything else will be just your donation.

6.6 - My payment was declined. Why?

This could be caused by several reasons:

Your credit card's company or banking declined transactions for Patreon. You'd need to contact your credit card's publisher and ask them how to fix it, or possibly change your credit card.
You are using a debit card that is not connected or registered as available for online transaction. Contact your bank to see what you should do about it.
You don't have enough money in your bank account. Put money onto your account, possibly fix your payment setting. This will revert your status back to pending.
You could provide the wrong information for your card. Double check it.
After correcting your credit card details, please do not forget to try the card again. After that, your status will be changed to Pending, and Patreon will check it again within 48 hours.

Or, if you would like to contact Patreon yourself, you can Send a ticket to Patreon Support to ask about your status. They are usually quick to reply! And please remember, if Patreon for some reason declines your payments, it's not a fault of any creator.

6.7 - How to prevent Declined payments?

You can set up a secondary payment method that will automatically kick in if your primary payment fails. You’ll avoid payment delays and be protected from losing access to membership rewards.

6.8 - Can I get a refund?

Due to the increasing number of fraud, this article has to be made.
Firstly, when you're pledging for one of the tiers, you get immediate access to all content available for that tier. It's not possible for the creator or Patreon to tell which content you've already downloaded. Patreon has a system to control the fraud activity. For example, a person pledges for a tier, but when through a bank tries to get money back as incorrect payment happened. In that case, Patreon may ban this account. However, when it comes to refunds, it's not possible to control that, and that's why it's given to creators' hands. That leads us to the second point.
Secondly, note that you are not paying for products, but the creator for the support. A pledge is considered as a donation by Patreon and the creator. And due to how the system works on Patreon, when a refund is made, the creator has to pay a fee for that. Here is an example for better understanding.
You're sending a gift to a person, but then change your mind and ask to send it back, and also pay for mail cost for it. Add to this the fact that the gift was already used, and cannot be returned, as it's just a copy of the original digital file.
This means that most refunds are not possible. However, refunds are still treated on a case-by-case basis. Cases when request for a refund will be declined:
