Pre-patch tomorrow (18/07) for Horse Ranch.

Hope you all have a great summer so far. The new EP Horse Ranch is set to release on this Thursday (20th of July) which means we will be getting the pre-patch tomorrow (18/07) 

Since this is an EP, there is a good chance it is going to break a lot of mods, so it is going to be chaotic, annoying and tedious for both modders and players alike for a bit, till mods starts to get updated. How quickly that is depends on the individual modder, real life always takes priority so some might take longer than others and while it's really annoying having to wait, it'll be worth it. 

However, we are working as fast as we can so please have patient spite how annoying it is. Thank you.

I will be making a status post like I did last time when the patch drops so you know which mods of mine are fine/broken/updated.

How to backup your game:

As always it's recommend you make a backup of your sims 4 document folder BEFORE updating the game. You find it here:

Documents -> Electronic Arts -> Sims 4

Copy the whole Sims 4 folder and place it somewhere else.

If you plan on playing the new update on day 1, I highly recommend you do so without your mods and saves. Just move the "Mods" and "saves" folders that are within the Sims 4 folder (The one in documents) to somewhere else. You can move those folders back anytime. Then update, make a new save and enjoy.

How to play offline:

If you plan to wait till your mods have updated but still want to play. You need to not update and have to disable automatic updates in the EA app. Do this BEFORE the patch drop, else it will start on it's own.

Click the ≡ on the left side corner (Above Home) --> Settings --> Downloads -> Scroll down a bit -> Update games automatically.

Make sure it's off. If the little circle is blue it means it's ON, so switch it off.

Then you need to change your status to "Offline.

Click the ≡ on the left side corner (Above Home) then click "Go Offline" the update on the Sims 4 should replace to a "Play"

(It might switch you back online if you restart the PC/EA but just switch it back to Offline, as long as the automatic update is off, you are fine, you just need it offline in order to switch the button "Update" to "Play")

List over which mods are broken/fine/updated:

Luth and Scarlett will both be making a "mods broken" post (assume Scarlett isn't still on hiatus). 

Luth will be on Sims 4 forums dealing with NONE NSFW mods and Scarlett will be posting on her page including NSFW. I will post both their links in my "Status" post so you can easily find it and keep track on your other mods.
