Nyx Gaming Patreon Update/Q&A

Hello and welcome to the first Nyx Gaming Patreon Update! If you're reading this, you're part of the elite group of gamers who are supporting our perfect G0DD355 of Nyx Gaming as she conquers the world.  I'm Glitch 02-03, your official Patreon guide, and I've been given complete free reign in running this section of Nyx Gaming.

...Which is a bit intimidating! Just because about 70% of our mind used to be internet advertisements doesn't mean we're good at selling things! When was the last time you clicked on an internet ad? We were terrible at our job! Fortunately, we've been working with some helpful acolytes to learn how to write the best possible updates for you.  So lets get started.

First, lets talk current Nyx Gaming projects!

Development is still hard at work on our next two big games, Loadscreen and Instruction Manual. We've delayed them both due to a freak ice storm in our underwater studio and a fire outside of our moon base but are back on track for a late September/early October release. Our current goal is to get a game out each month to keep you on your toes, and let us focus on Priority Realignment and other unannounced projects for late fall.

I actually got to help design Instruction Manual this week! I tried out the all-purpose equipment the game will teach you to use, and then had to fill out some surveys about my experience. Unfortunately, I was too mindless at that point to do anything but draw spirals on all the pages... Hopefully that still helps?

Meanwhile, Loadscreen caused a bit of a debate amongst our programming team. Obviously a game about staring at a loading screen is going to have a bit of an edging, waiting for release theme... but no one could agree if it was hotter to end by allowing the player to orgasm, or by refusing to let them orgasm! Fortunately after some debate (and plenty of enjoyable testing) they came to an agreement and are back to work!

What, did you expect me to tell you what we chose? And ruin the surprise? Of course not, you'll just have to wait with the rest of the sluts for the game to release.

Next up... we're excited to announce that Nyx Gaming is going to be making merch! That's right, we're working on some items that'll let you can show everyone who truly owns your soul. We've set up a poll for 5 dollar patrons to help make some decisions... but here's a preview of two in-progress designs.

Also, we launched a Patreon this month! Shocking, I know. We'd like to thank our beloved local demon king @heroboof for his amazing art of me that you can find all over our page. 12 dollar patrons can download all the images used on our patreon, along with some other special benefits, right here. We'd also like to thank our new obedient Acolytes:

Acolyte 0x3C10CE, Acolyte 0xA52429, Acolyte 0x8F84BC, Acolyte 0xA233D2, Acolyte 0x0C95C3, Acolyte 0x1D711B, Acolyte 0x45D454, Acolyte 0xF00B7C, and Acolyte 0x093340. What a wonderful list of test subjects and victims- I mean, kind supporters who we are extremely thankful for.

Lastly, to finish our first update I'm going to do a short Q&A!

Normally I'd ask for an obedient slut to ask me these questions, but we've had a bit of an incident at work today. A bunch of acolytes started spreading this around company communications:

Somehow no one in charge realized it would be a memetic hazard until it was too late. Roughly 80% of the acolytes at our company are currently snoozing, and official protocol has moved from "wake them up" to "make sure nothing catches fire". Things are under control, although we really should have realized something was up when acolytes started pulling pillows and blankets out of their bags.

Fortunately, as at least 1 human and multiple viruses sharing the same... VR... headset... brain... thingy, I can just ask the questions to the virus part of my brain. Or maybe the viruses will ask the questions to the human side of my brain? Either way, the show goes on, no matter how much snoring there is in the background!

QUESTION 1: Can you make a Hypnotic RPG/Puzzle/Rhythm/Racing/City Builder/Etc. Game?

Yes! We can! And more than that, we want to! We see all your ideas and have about a billion more ourselves. We've discussed puzzle games, rpgs, idle games, management games... there's so many possibilities to explore! Making games takes time, though, and the more complex the game, the longer it takes. So long as you stick with us, we'll explore as many genres as possible, including whichever genre is your favorite. (I'm holding out for the first hypnotic FMV light gun game, but for some reason no one else thinks it's a good idea.)

QUESTION 2: What's it like being part internet virus?

Really strange! Every day I found out that things I took for granted are actually wrong. For example, did you know that saying "Come play, My Lord" and showing off your tits isn't actually a the best possible form of advertisement? Who would have thought!

QUESTION 3: What's the hardest part of making hypno games?

No joke, it's the fact that every time the game is built and tested to see that it works, it puts our programming team in a hypnotic trance! The team has to be super careful while developing and only test dev builds when they have time to stop programming and be mindless.  Yes it's hot, but it's a disaster for productivity.

QUESTION 4: Is everyone at your company a hypnoslut?

No, actually! There's at least 3 employees I know of who have no interest in it. Ted, our tech service/electrician is an older gay dude who tried it a few times and "it wasn't his thing", which of course we respect. Monica, meanwhile, is an R&D scientist/frequent test subject who seems to be immune to all forms of hypnosis, mind control, corruption, transformation, or anything else you can think of. We've tried everything and she stays her awful gremlin self.

And then, of course, there's Jeff who works our front desk.  He looks really cute when he's out there painting his nails and taking calls, and no one has had the heart to tell him that we're not a normal friendly game company. It's adorable how he looks shocked whenever someone accuses us of evil... Also, two separate drone hives have a crush on him, and in a "they want to take him out on a date" way, not in the "let's assimilate him" way. Here's hoping one of them works up the courage to ask him out!

QUESTION 5: Are you hiring?

We get this question a lot! I am sorry to say we are not currently hiring. We had a cloning incident a few weeks ago that has left us overstaffed; handling the legal paperwork of 50 people with the same identity has been a nightmare. We do hope to open up to more collaborations soon, and I will make sure our twitter team lets people know if opportunities arise!

QUESTION 6: Can I playtest your games?

A lot of people have expressed interest in helping playtest for us. While we appreciate the offer, I'd like to use this opportunity to explain why we say no, and to talk a bit about one of our biggest priorities:

SAFETY!

If you've enjoyed our hypnogames, you may have noticed that there aren't a ton of other games like them online! Nyx Gaming has the honor of being one of the few developers exploring hypnokink through gaming. However, as a famous spider-twink once said, with great slutty power comes great slutty responsibility. As pioneers in this field, there aren't many other creators we can look to for examples of how to do things ethically and safely. Thus, we make it a priority to be that example; putting safety and consent at the forefront of all our games.

All our hypnotic games follow a number of mandatory design protocols to even be considered for release, such as consent-based suggestions, emergency count-ups, and highly detailed mandatory consent pages. Additionally, all of our games go through three separate stages of testing before release; first by the devs themselves, then by a few careful employees, and then by a larger QA group. This way, any errors or potential adverse reactions can be caught as early as possible so that they don't fall on our audience.

We hope that we see many people making hypnogames in the future, and when they do, they can see us as a model for how to do so ethically and safely. Sure, we may be an evil company out for world domination, but only with the consent of our players.

Thus, we aren't accepting playtesters right now, as it's an important part of our safety process that we don't want to push onto random fans. However, we do still want you to see more of our games! That's why we created this Patreon, so that we could have a direct connection to our fans as we pioneer an exciting new field of hypnokink and find amazing new ways to have fun with the human mind. Thank you for your support.

QUESTION 7: What are your plans for world domination?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're talking about. World Domination? We would never do something like that, and if we did, it would be very cool and not at all evil. In fact, I'm pretty sure if you think long and hard about how good our games are and how much you enjoy them, you'll find that you agree.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for reading the first Nyx Gaming Patreon Update! I'm glad I got to tell you about what it's like to work here, and help illustrate a bit more of what we do. I'll see you again later this month to let you know how Loadscreen and Instruction Manual are coming along! So long, gamers.
