At the end of the day, you’d have to negate the performance element. A good player can have a negative aura, and a bad player can have positive aura. That’s where the PLUS in Aura plus comes from. Because it’s easy to have Aura when you’re good at baseball. So I’ll say the Aura+ leader is Christopher Morel and last place is Brandon Lowe. They even play for the same team, so it’s a fair playing field there. Of course, it’s gonna be easier to have aura in a Yankees uniform than a Rays uniform.

2024-08-06 01:25:28 +0000 UTCNestor Cortes this season: 1st time through order: 51.1 IP, 3.33 ERA 2nd time: 48.0 IP, 5.44 ERA 3rd time: 30.0 IP, 3.60 ERA I know the third time the order is a thing that plagues many pitchers, but under-performing specifically the 2nd time and not the 3rd seems especially strange. Is this just a random baseball anomaly or can you recall another pitcher having a similar split?

Now, barring pickoffs, it's quite difficult to actually field without a pitch being thrown, so my criteria for PIF leaders is who looks the coolest while just kinda standing there in the field when nothing is going on. Given this criteria, what would be your starting lineup to maximize a team's PIF potential? And in your expert opinion, does PIF seem viable to begin factoring into fwar calculations?

You had already traded for Alzolay and Nick Robertson, and Tim Salcedo and Lemma Danladi were younger, more cost controlled, homegrown, and putting up better numbers in the bullpen on a rate basis than Waldrep, and both sent down in the roster shuffle post-deadline. This move was curious to me at the time, let alone after the Waldrep meltdown in Game 4 against the Blue Jays that year.

So perhaps you remove the center fielder and have a center-left fielder and a center-right fielder and have two DH’s. Could two players cover the outfield well enough to take advantage of having two DH’s?

His numbers get more impressive/gain some added volume if you include his PCL stats, which given the quality of competition at the time, seems reasonable.

Their question is simple, assuming full health in their current rotation, how are you lining things up for the postseason? With Sale and Fried both being LHP, Lopez's underlying metrics being quite poor, Schwellenbach's lack of experience, and Morton's inconsistency, it could end up being a really interesting question for them to tackle come playoff time.

But, given the current slump the Phillies offense is in, I'm curious to see if you would mix anything up. What would your lineup be with the current roster and the addition of Austin Hays versus lefties and righties. Need to verify this, but I think the Phillies have faced more left-handed starters than any other team this year by a good chunk. Side note, ,my fantasy team wishes I would've listened to you in the off season about you being out on Nick Castellanos. I feel like he would have been a perfect pickup for the Braves whose starting pitching has been annihilated by injuries this year.
